Limited data fields
Purchased the Forerunner 965 to replace the 920XT. The watch is used for running and cycling. Very disappointed the "average moving speed" data field is not available for my customized data screens while it was available on the 920XT. Average speed was set as the data field, and I thought my I can't be this slow and I was right. Bring back "average moving speed" as an available data field with the 965.

Returning watch - too many issues to resolve
I am returning this watch due to several issues. 1) getting a map file error every time I sync. I went through the recommended steps to fix this, but nothing worked; 2) Open Water Swims are tracking much shorter than with my old 945; 3) TSS and IF are not calculating correctly when syncing to Training Peaks. Too many issues to try to fix - going back to my 945 for now.

My 965
I got the reconditioned 965 after my 955 lost its sensor functions. After only 3 years I was hesitant to go for another Garmin. I have been delighted several weeks in. It’s comfortable to wear, easy to use and has very nice choices for different configurations for the watch face. The colors in the display are an attractive addition to for me. Battery life has been terrific. One charge lasted over 2 weeks. Granted I’m using very little of the training features but am quite satisfied with the features I do use.

Love the watch, triathlon mode rocks!
Got the watch one week before a 70.3, charged before the race and after a 7 hour race the watch still had enough battery for a whole week!

Love it so far!
I bought this watch last year and have been really happy with it. I previously owned a simpler Garmin watch (Venu series) but needed to upgrade to be able to track longer and multisport activities. Overall, I am very satisfied with it, the battery life is good for my needs and I do love the amoled display. It's very simple to use and set up, especially alongside the app.

Garmin Upgrade
Love my 965. I upgraded from the 265 and it is worth it for the extra data and Strava Live Segments. The battery life is better too!

Super great watch
I really like my Forerunner 965. It was made for the aging athlete with poor eyesight, especially when we aren’t wearing our glasses. The time is in large, colorful numbers. The date is in white which makes it stand out. I also like that the percentage of battery left is on the face. The stop watch is super easy to use. It is a great upgrade from the 955.

Absolutely horrible. Easily the worst watch I’ve ever purchased and I LOVE Garmin. Won’t stay on, turns itself off 10+ times per day. Do. Not. Buy.

Great Investment
Since putting this on my wrist, I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in my sleep tracking and recovery. Even better, watching my VO2 Max trend in the positive direction has been incredibly motivating. The display is beautiful, the data is sharp, and it’s exactly what I need to keep pushing my limits.

Upgraded
I’m so happy with this watch! The sleep and stress tracking are so much better than my 245. Well worth it for a much needed upgrade!
