Here is some more information on the features you asked about: Track Heart Rate: YES. It uses Garmin's optical heart rate sensor (Elevate V4) to track your heart rate 24/7, including during exercise and rest. It also provides abnormal heart rate alerts (high or low) when resting. AFib Detection: NO (Not via EKG/ECG). It can alert you to abnormal heart rates, but it does not have the capability to run an on-demand Electrocardiogram (ECG) test needed for specific Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) detection. Notifications Only: The watch will notify you that a call is coming in by displaying the caller's name or number. Accept or Decline: You can choose to accept or decline the call from the watch, but to actually talk to the person, you must use your connected smartphone. Text Replies: On a connected Android phone, you can decline a call and send a pre-written text message reply from the watch. This feature is not available for iPhones. Great watch, but no voice to text
I'm loving this watch. I love the bright colors, the ability to change your watch face to your liking as well as colors within the face. The buttons on the side are a bit different than my previous Fitbit watch so that was a bit of an adjustment that I'm still getting used to. The clarity of graphics is great. My amazon wish list items come up with great clarity on the screen. My big disappointment is that there is no voice to text on this watch. One would think that would be a "normal" finding on any smart watch in 2025. Please fix this if possible! Overall, very happy, just wish I would've seen that there was no microphone for voice to text before I purchased.

Very useful.
Been using the V6 for a couple of weeks now. Wearing it to bed and at the gym. Mostly to track heart rate. Does a great job and I trust it. Not sure I understand many of the features such as the sleep quality monitor and the stress monitor. The manual is very good at explaining how to use various functions, but it doesn't explain how the various outputs are determined and what they mean. I'm a big Garmin fan and would recommend this device to anyone wanting a reasonably priced high quality health watch.

I've had my Vivioactive 6 watch for about a month now and I'm impressed with the battery life. And, there are a lot of features that I'm still learning about. I like the lock screen feature when I'm exercising as it keeps the screen from continuing scrolling.

Great features...overall
I am loving the features on my Garmin Vivoactive, but im a little disappointed in the battery life. I was expecting to get at least 5 days with it as it is advertised up to 11 days, but it only lasts 3-4 days at the most. I do use it a lot, but not to the extent of draining it so fast. Overall though, great watch to have for keeping track of your workouts/walks/run. I'd definitely buy again as it is worth it and is very comfortable and not too bulky.

The battery life of your Vivoactive 6 will vary depending on how you use it. If you're using always-on display mode, you can expect to get up to 5 days of battery, but the use of additional features will also impact that. In particular, GPS use, Connect IQ apps/watch faces, music use, and Pulse Ox recording can drain the battery. Fantastic Watch & Tools*
I bought my vivoactive 6 about a month ago and I instantly fell in love with the way it looks on my wrist. It is sleek and stylish without being too sporty. I wanted a watch that provided fashion and function for the workplace, and the outdoors. The watchface has quality electronics that provides appealing bright and vibrant colors! My only sadness about the watch is that I cannot respond to texts from the watch because I have an iPhone. Apparently, if you have Android, you can respond directly from a Garmin watch. I think if it's a security issue, Garmin and Apple should make an agreement that mandates that any texts sent from the watch are sent as TEXT instead of iMessage. It's ironically a less secure method than iMessage.

Versatile
Happy with the features that the watch provides. Sleep score is great, reports are handy. The biggest flaw (which I think is big) is that there is no barometer/altimeter. With there being set challenges for climbs, its ironic that this watch doesn't have those amenities

LOVE THIS WATCH
I got this watch about 4 months ago and have loved every second of it. The only reason I am putting the rating at a 4 is due to one malfunction I experienced. My watched had died and got stuck in an endless rebooting process. However, after contacting Garmin I was able to trade in my watch with my warranty that I had and got a brand new one! Since then everything has been amazing!

All I need
I previously owned a Venu 2 and was waiting for the Venu 4 to launch to compare with the Vivoactive 6. For sure the Venu 4 has more to tech to offer but I chose the Vivoactive 6 because 1) half the price 2) lower profile on my wrist 3) it offered all of the activities including golf, hiking, swimming etc. - perfect fit for me.

If you are on the fence to get rid of an Apple Watch or Fitbit to switch to Garmin. Do it. You will not be disappointed. I absolutely love my Garmin watch. From the health apps to working out it’s great. Then it’s compatible with golfing. Battery life is another great thing. Had to charge my Apple Watch everyday. Garmin I only have to recharge it once every 10 days. Sometimes even longer if I am not using the GPS mode.
