    My husband (a former senior Google engineer) and I have spent countless hours trying to connect the scale to the internet. No luck. We'll be returning it.

    Wanted to love it

    Unfortunately, the scale didn't work well for me. There was a struggle connecting to the scale. But once setup, the scale stopped identifying my husband and would show him as a guest, even though he was all setup in it and had been properly identified on previous occasions. The scale started identifying me as my husband's profile - i am 7 inches shorter and over 50 lbs lighter. The little screen on the screen shows that my husband's profile lost 53 lbs since the last weigh in (less than 24 hours earlier). We both have Garmin watches that are setup on our phones, so I would have thought using the Garmin scale would work more seemlessly. I will be returninf this item.

    Save your money

    I’ve had this for a year now and it’s no different from any other scale. It’s typically off balance and for the last 3 months has been stuck trying to reconnect to my phone. I’ve reset it and followed the hard reset but no luck. Absolute waste of money.

    Worth the price to auto-log my weight in Garmin, and the actual weight is accurate when the scale actually turns on. This is the buggiest, most error prone scale ever made. It refuses to turn on, or spends forever pairing. The impedance body composition feature seems wildly inaccurate.

    I love Garmin, but this device is rough. It's tough to program and temperamental. I'd still recommend. When it connects to my watch, it's great data.

    Needs work.

    Unfortunately, we couldn't get the scale to work, so we had to return it. We went through all the troubleshooting, but in the end, it wouldn't turn on when someone stepped on the scale. Hope that it gets worked out; I use many Garmin devices and have always been satisfied with the performance of my other devices!

    Too basic to be a garmin product

    As a regular garmin user, I would want to see at least fat/visceral fat data etc. The current data that it gives is too limited when compared to other garmin products. Also, it doesn't offer much when it comes to combining your scale with the garmin ecosystem. You basically just see your weight in your garmin app dashboard and nothing else. Pretty much of a frustration at this price.

    Questionable accuracy relative to other tech

    I purchased this scale to get some sense of body composition at home. I recognize there could be different readings from different platforms, technologies, and instrumentation, but the Index S2 differs from recent InBody scale readings and DexaScan results by over 60%. I suppose it still provides reasonable "directional" results to show progress, but the numbers or near meaningless. I was also looking at the Hume Health Body Pod but went with Garmin to have all my metrics in one place (Garmin Connect App). In hindsight, I wish I had gone with Hume.

    Great scale for Garmin users.

    I have beenbusing the scale for over a year and it works great for a single user tied to the Garmin Connect app. My wife is not a crazy serious athlete and it would be nice if it had better inter connectivity for her in the Google health universe.

    I returned it due to the lack of a 2.5 WiFi. My provider is xfinity and they don’t offer 2.5. Garmin needs to fix this because otherwise I think it’s a great product!

    Smart Scale?

    I share it with 2 people at home I have to reset it every single morning after someone else uses it because it can’t tell the difference between users. I weigh myself and it gives me a weight and different user. I reset it and it gives me my weight and user ID. How is the weight different 30 seconds apart?

    Great Health Tool

    The scale measures and chronicles all critical weight and body content. It syncs really well with the Garmin. App. Absolutely love it. That being said added other users has not been simple.
