Q: Can this product be used with tape in hair extensions or would it decrease strength of tape?

A: Hi there! We only tested the Curl Shape Defining Spray Gel on human hair, but not on extensions or the adhesives used to anchor the extensions. Perhaps the manufacturer for your extensions or the tape can let you know what to avoid using with your hair. extensions.

I have been using Curl Shape for close to 20 years and it WAS great. The new formula with the coconut water DOES NOT WORK nearly as well as the original, it's horrible. You had the only spray gel on the market that actually worked and you've ruined it. Bring back the original formula!

I used to really like this product before the recent change. I do not like the addition of coconut to the spray gel. Coconut or any other oil is the worst thing to add to hair styling products for blonde people because it makes their hair look like a greasy french fry or like they have bad hygeine because they haven't washed their hair in days or weeks. Shininess is not a good quality for blonde people, it makes them look nasty. I use spray gel because regular gel makes my hair look white and flaky. I need a dry, clean, matte finish like I took a shower and took the time to style my hair. Coconut might hydrate some people's hair if it is extremely dried or fried, but not blondes. Do not use this product if you have oily hair or skin.

I started using Curl Shaper a few years ago while on vacation. When it’s really humid and I can’t get my hair to cooperate, spritzing and scrunching with Curl Shaper gives me amazing curls! My hair isn’t naturally curly, but it has a wave to it and Curl Shaper coaxes wonderful curls!

I have chin length thin, fine hair, short to medium layers, with natural wave. I blew dry with a round bristle brush. This product did not define my wave or give me curls. All I got was flyaway hair with static, and it seemed to straighten rather than enhance my wave. It certainly did not give my hair any body. The only positive was volume. For me it was a waste of money.

Makes hair frizzy. Didn't helps curls. This is just terrible. And what's worse is that I used the old formula for 10 years and loved it. This junk means I'm in the market for new hair products. Goodbye Garnier.

I’ve been using Fructis Curl Shape(the old formula) for over 15 years. I have thick long wavy/curly hair, and the OLD formula made my hair curlier, defined my curls, and made my hair look shiny. It lasted all day long, and the next day I could spritz it again and my hair looked even better then the day I washed it. I literally use a bottle a week. The new coconut water formula is absolutely awful. It doesn’t help improve my curls, seems to weigh my hair down, and the next day my hair is dried out. If I spritz it again, it looks worse. Changing this product was a TERRIBLE decision. Please bring back the old formula.

Please bring back the old formula! I bought the other formula of this for years because it was the only stuff that worked for my hair. This new formula doesn’t work, my waves fall flat, and my hair is greasy the next day.

I absolutely love this product and smell and typically I don’t care for coconut smell but this is sophisticated!! With curly hair in the back and wavy in the front it’s hard to go between washes with air drying. This allows my front to have a curl!!

The item pictured was the old formula, without coconut, which I was trying to stock up on as coconut products give me a rash. What I received was the new formula, containing coconut, which I could have purchased in the store if that’s what I had wanted.
