Q: The "new" version of the 100W Relax A19 LED bulb (one-piece bulb construction) is decidedly more yellow than all of the "Relax" bulbs I have purchase in the past. Can't you be consistent with colors"?

A: Hello, Jessica. Yes, in order for these lamps to dim properly you will need a compatible dimmer switch. These bulbs provide a nice, bright, warm light - see the middle bulb in the photo. I noticed that the box--in tiny print on the side--states "not for enclosed fixtures." At least this information is also in the online description. But who would think to read the fine print on a lightbulb when purchasing at the store? I also had to look up why these bulbs might not be for enclosed fixtures: the heat given off by the bulb will shorten the bulb lifespan when the heat can't dissipate. I didn't realize that LED bulbs get so hot. Indeed, after just a few minutes turned on, the bulb base (the opaque white part, between the translucent white part and the threads) gets almost too hot to touch, although not as hot as the two CFL bulbs that are on either side in the photo. Since I also need some bulbs for enclosed ceiling fans, I need to look elsewhere to purchase other bulbs.

These lights are great in my laundry room and storage closets. They are definitely very bright (wouldn't recommend for a living room lamp, for example) but are great in a workspace. The light color is slightly warm without seeming overly blue.

The warm light these give off is nice but they are so bright that I can't really imagine putting them inside my house (we use the 40W version of this for indoors). But we bought these for in our garage and outdoor light fixtures and they're perfect!
