Q: Hi, Does GE recommend this bulb for use in an outside ceiling fixture enclosed on all six sides, a four sided trapezoidal shape of 6x4x4 inches inside dimensions in a breezeway location. If not, why?

Q: Can I put this bulb in a ceiling fixture rated for a 60W incandescent bulb

  • A: Yes. The bulb is approximately the same size as a 60 watt incandescent bulb so it will fit. The purpose of the original rating takes the heat and power requirements into consideration. An LED bulb uses substantially less power and generates far less heat (almost none) than a 60 watt bulb, so you will be fine.

Q: will this bulbs fit into a fan that requires an E12 size entrance?
