Q: Is this suitable for use in an oven?

A:Â Yes, but verify what you have by looking at the old bulb in your oven. We have a 4-year old range with two electric ovens and each contain one of these bulbs behind a transparent shield. Still going strong after 4 years.

Q: This bulb is labeled as Soft White at the top but the picture of the item shows it to be clear instead. Is the finish of the bulb clear or soft white?
