Q: Does the app require wifi or a cell connection in order to operate the lights? I am looking to use the lights via battery power in a remote location with no wifi or cell service.

A: Thank you for considering Cync. Our Wi-Fi enabled Light Strips require a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network to be connected to the app initially. When the connection is not available they operate off of bluetooth. We have a bluetooth enabled Light Strip. However, it does require an outlet to be plugged into. Q: Can you connect multiple of the longer strips (6') together or can you only extend with the 40" strips?

Q: Hi, can I cut the strip?, or would you recommend to have small pieces of the strips?, and there is a product with small strips?

You are able to cut the strip but the piece that is removed from the strip that is connected to the power cable will not be able to be reconnected or have power. Incredibly difficult to install. Not enough mounting hardware supplied and the adhesive didn’t work. And if you tighten the strip too much the light will change to a random color. Awful.

My son bought this for his bedroom to put on his ceiling. Easy enough design, nail some of the clips to the ceiling and peel off the 3M tape backing and stick to ceiling. It all fell down within an hour. They give a small cloth to wipe down the surface first, but that does nothing. the stickiness was not great and now I don't know what to do to get this to stay on his ceiling.

I bought numerous set past few years. Recently , I purchased two more boxes. My older set are 6 pin, these newer are 4 pin. Nowhere does it say anything about that, so now I have extention set that can't connect to anything. Same description. What a joke.

The strip does not stick to the wall at all. It is very hard to bend. Super expensive for a short roll. Better off getting cheap lights from Amazon.

I bought this to go behind my TV, but you don't find out until you've been buy it that you cannot bend it. Also it says to only cut on dotted lines but there are no dotted lines. The installation instructions are practically non-existent and they do not match the product. It was very difficult getting it to connect the device but once it was finally set up we were very happy. Anybody it should not take this long to set up a LED light strip and we have a smart home with many other smart devices. This one was a hassle. Extremely overpriced for what it is.

Just purchased them a couple hours ago, came home and installed them, and immediately turned on some music and put them on music mode. Love them! Hopefully they last a long time. And the remote is easy to use and the lights have a sticky backing that made installation very easy.

These did not stick to the wall at all. I dusted and wiped everything and used the alcohol wipe too. The cheap Amazon ones worked better and had an easier set up.

Can't get it hooked up to wifi. The tape is not adhering to the wall. Not very happy there's no QR code on the instructions. Every you tube wants to skip the phone set up part.

This item is a 16” version, which is a different construction compared to the 80” version shown in the photos. The description does say 16ft, but my bad, I had looked at the info in the photo. We were trying to match to previous ones we’ve purchased, but the 16ft version has a different coating over the LED strip which refracts the light differently so the two versions don’t match . . .

BEST light strips. I put them behind my bed and use them for low light at night. If I turn the brightness all the way up in the app, it looks like daytime in there. Love that it’s adjustable from my phone. No problems with the app and it works much better compared to the app I have for a different light strip brand behind the tv. Well worth the money

I check one of their official instructional videos to see if I was doing it wrong but the product in the video was different, mine doesn’t have the part your supposed to use to join them. The double sided tape was barley sticky, didn’t even hold for a moment. Huge disappointment! DO NOT BUY!!

These lights are a headache. It seems like everything now and days require separate apps and parts to get it to function properly. If you’re just using one strip & only want a white light it would be fine. It doesn’t bend easily, the adhesive may stick to glass decently, but any other materials/foundation proved to be horrible. It doesn’t stay put with the clips it came with either. ALSO, if you bought them for the 100’s of colors it advertised- please be advised they’re only available via app. There’s no control or feature on the actual strip to control/change that. AND if you bought it to “easily” connect to others- you’ll need to purchase a 7pin connector (which wasn’t that easy to find). Overall.. I could have bought a much cheaper item with more range, flexibility & MUCH less hurdles to jump through.

Best LED strip lights! These are way better than all my other strip lights. (I think the others are Govee) which I also love. But these are different. You can tell they are quality made. Even the instructions that came inside. So simple and to the point. The lights are beautiful. Clean the area you are sticking the lights to, and then press and hold. They stay very well in my opinion. No remote. Use the app. It’s Easy. I have soooo many of those strip light remotes and candle remotes. It’s nice to have something that didn’t even come with that. Lol. I really recommend these. They are perfect for any room. I started with my closet, and then wanted one for each room! Especially love that it can do true white and warm white, as well as all the colors. Perfect for a bathroom, hallways, stairs, railings, front landing, laundry room, garage, home gym. So many ideas! You can hook it up to Alexa or Google home. Tons of setting and presets to play with. It’s fun, it’s beautiful, it’s practical. They are a different quality than most strip lights.

These things are great for ripping your walls up! Be prepared to do some renovation when you take them down. While they do look cool when they are up, I will NEVER allow anything like this in my house again!

First of all, they look great. Install was quick. Remember to wipe down the area you’re going to stick to and the adhesive will work. I have them under and on top of cabinets. I have not had any issues with the app. They work with Home Assistant, so I can do some cool automations. There are two cool white LEDs, two warm white leds, and one RGB LED. My biggest issue is that they use proprietary 7 pin strip and do not provide any type of accessories such as right angle connectors or ribbon tape to skip areas. It even looks like they only use 6 of the pins and only included the 7th to prevent you from using third party 6pin accessories. It would be nice to be able to reuse cut sections instead of needing to buy their extensions. Also, they could include a few more nail down clips in the box. Last, they are only trimmable in 13” sections.
