Dry and cakey
Not sure what went wrong with my brownies, these were terrible. They taste more like cake than brownies. I know I didn’t forget any ingredients. After two days they are so dry, even though Ive kept them covered, that I will probably toss the large amount that’s remaining bc my family hasn’t eaten much of them. The thing is, I switched to Ghirardelli after decades with Duncan Hines when DH changed their recipe during the pandemic. So I’m hoping this is just a one-off and Ghirardelli hasn’t changed their recipe too. I’ll give them one more chance bc Im pretty sure I’ve made these before and they were good.

This is the only brownie mix I will buy, the brownies are so good that they don't even last a full day in my house! I would recommend substituting the oil for melted butter (I use 6 tbsp which is equivalent to a little over the 1/3 oil) and substitute the water for milk. Soooo rich and delicious!
