A: Hello jillj - To remove the bulb from a Room Essentials Glossy Metal Table Lamp Brass, first, unplug the lamp from the power source. Then, locate and unscrew the metal decorative ring or finial on the lamp post, which secures the shade or glass globe. Once the ring is off, you can lift off the shade or globe to expose the light bulb, which you can then unscrew and remove from the socket. – Alvin

Won't last!
I have had the lamps for less than two years and they BOTH have stopped working. They turn on for a second and then flicker off. I’ve changed the bulbs and inspected everything possible. Poor quality.

Doesn't work properly on multiple lamps
Love the look and price. But I have purchased two of these and had to return both of them because the light flickered on both of them constantly. I made sure to use the correct light bulb, it was screwed in properly, and neither lamps had loose cords connections. Oddly, they were purchased at different locations too. I would have loved this lamp if it actually worked properly.

Lack of care in packing for shippment!
This lamp showed up in a damaged box that was not well secured with packing tape from initial sender. Additionally, the packing material inside the box was unsufficient to protect the lamp which was damaged (lamp dented) and resulted in me having to drive 30 miles round trip just to return it. I ordered a replacement which arrived undamaged however, the same poor packing method was the same as first time. Target needs to address this issue! a 5 year old could have done a better job!!

Slightly faulty
It was great until it just stopped working one day. I can’t remember when I bought it but it’s a couple of years old at least. The bulb socket was always tight to begin with so replacing bulbs feels like nails on a chalkboard. Otherwise nice looking piece.
