Q: How do you remove the light bulb? The bulb broke, leaving the metal base of the light bulb completely stuck so I am unable to replace it

  • A: Hello jillj - To remove the bulb from a Room Essentials Glossy Metal Table Lamp Brass, first, unplug the lamp from the power source. Then, locate and unscrew the metal decorative ring or finial on the lamp post, which secures the shade or glass globe. Once the ring is off, you can lift off the shade or globe to expose the light bulb, which you can then unscrew and remove from the socket. – Alvin

    Lack of care in packing for shippment!

    This lamp showed up in a damaged box that was not well secured with packing tape from initial sender. Additionally, the packing material inside the box was unsufficient to protect the lamp which was damaged (lamp dented) and resulted in me having to drive 30 miles round trip just to return it. I ordered a replacement which arrived undamaged however, the same poor packing method was the same as first time. Target needs to address this issue! a 5 year old could have done a better job!!

    I bought 2 of these lamps a couple of years ago and like other reviews noted, both stopped working. They would flicker when you touched the power button but would not stay on, then eventually died. Waste of money.

    Slightly faulty

    It was great until it just stopped working one day. I can’t remember when I bought it but it’s a couple of years old at least. The bulb socket was always tight to begin with so replacing bulbs feels like nails on a chalkboard. Otherwise nice looking piece.

    Nice Looking, Do Not Last

    Bought two of these 3 years ago and neither one works now. When you touch the lamp to turn it on, it will flicker and turn off immediately. They look great, but do not last!

    I love how this lamp looks but any bulb we have tried flickers. Pretty sure its defective but then it also says it requires a 40W standard bulb max which I don't even think Target sells. Frustrating, will return.

    The item was exactly what I wanted however the lamp I received was scratched, dusty & in overall poor condition at the Davie Target and that was very disappointing. It was the only one in stock so the associate advised there were 2 available at another location so I went to exchange. I’m writing this review because I don’t think it should have been sold to customers in that condition and had it not been listed available there I would have ordered from the plantation Target instead of wasting my time.

    Does not last.

    Cute accent lamp
