Description
Our GoodCook Ready Safe-Cut Can Opener has a patented design that safely separates the lid from the can with no sharp edges, then lifts the lid from the can. Then the lid is released automatically, for disposal or use. Because the lid is removed rather than cut, it can be placed back on the can for temporary storage. This has a hardened steel cutting blade the never comes in contact with food, for less risk of contamination. The stainless steel guide wire is heavy gauge for plenty of use and the solid seamless handle design is easy to clean.

This can opener wasn’t great from the beginning. Had to start going around a can twice. Now it won’t cut enough to open a can.

Doesnt work
Literally the worst kitchen item we’ve ever owned. It doesn’t work to actually open cans. We’ve had to pry them open with tools.

Works on 1 can well
This worked great on the first can. 2nd can seemed to be working well, but I tried several times and lid wouldn't come off. There were several metal shavings though. I had been so hopeful.

What ruins these safety openers
i love these can openers. i've bought 2. To my horrer i found them suddenly ruined. The company says dented cans may damage them. The REAL reason is STEEL CANS. The second picture shows a recycle triangle with the word STEEL inside. STEEL cans permenently ruin the cutter. thank you

Not only is is super durable and efficient on the first go around. But it’s also kid friendly, then the lid will go back on if you do use all of what’s in the can! It’s truly an awesome product.

Too hard for me to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I appreciate this can opener. It’s easy to use and works well. However I ran into a few cans it simply couldn’t open. My cans of corn and applesauce it simply can’t open. I’m not sure if it is the can opener or cans that were used. I’d still recommend this can opener. It’s really nice. However I would recommend keeping a standard can opener on hand for times this one fails.

No More Sharp Can Edges!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had great results using this Safecut can opener! It uncrimps the lid leaving smooth edges, which it really nice. The only complaint would be that it is slightly harder to twist the crank in comparison to my conventional blade opener.

We have been needing a new can opener, and I definitely wanted one that would take the tip off, but I never knew which one would be good. So when we received this product, we tried it out as soon as it was out of the box. It works as smoothly as well, leaving the can with no sharp edges when it takes off the lid. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No more sharp edges! I love how easily this cuts thru my cans without leaving me worrying about cutting my fingers on the sharp edges. It is a little tricky to get the lid off the can opener once it’s open, but it’s not a deal breaker.
