  • A: The board book with a padded cover is the lap edition board book. It has a price point just over $11 and is not the same as the hardcover edition, which would have typical paper pages within the binding. Just had this experience with a pickup order and am awaiting (hopefully) the actual hardcover to arrive. Hope that is helpful for shoppers and Target team members alike.

Goodnight Moon

Such a sweet and innocent book! My toddler just loves it! We have the smaller 5 inch copy and we've read it so much it's just falling apart. Such a surprise to find this copy, twice as big and on sale! I intend to keep this book as one of our bedtime staples for the years to come! Good reviewers ;)

Toddler Library Staple

I'm so glad I got this book. We started reading it to my boy when he wasn't even a year. He's almost 2 now and relates his surroundings to the room in the book. It was the first book he asked for by name "nite nite moon!". He counts the bears in chairs and makes a blegh face at the bowl full of mush. It's a great book to boost memory of the many items on each page.

Should be labeled "board book" vs. "hardcover"

This is the traditional story of Goodnight Moon (which we LOVE), but the label “hardcover” is misleading. I bought it as a gift online, thinking it was a regular hardcover book, only to discover it is more like a board book with a slightly squishy cover. It wasn’t what I’d hoped for or anticipated, but it’s a great quality board book (if that’s what you’re looking for).

Anniversary sticker is printed on (cant remove)

Its a classic. Bigger than the original one we had and a board book as well. Makes it harder for my son to destroy. Only thing I don’t like is when books come with the sticker that you cant remove from the cover because its part of the cover image. That’s personal preference but I wish I would’ve realized that sooner.
