Featuring Graco Protect Plus Engineered, this seat helps to protect rear-facing infants from 4-30 lb and up to 32" with a combination of the most rigorous crash tests that help to protect your little one in frontal, side*, rear, and rollover crashes whether with or without the base. The GoMax Infant Car Seat also features PureProtect fabrics that are soft and gentle on baby’s skin while also being fire-resistant—without added chemicals!—to meet federal car seat flammability standards. The seat's memory recline on the LATCH connectors remembers the the last install recline position for even faster install the next time you use it. No-Rethread Simply Safe Adjust Harness System, the headrest and harness can be adjusted together while your child is in the seat. The Silent Shade canopy and privacy drape adjust quietly without disturbing baby, and a one-hand adjustable handle makes getting baby in and out easy. *According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, side collisions represent the second most common type of fatal car accident. Q: Hi, how wide is this car seat? The Target website says 16.02 inches wide but other websites have it as much as 18.5 inches wide.

Luxury Meets Affordability
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] (Second time mom, first time Graco consumer.) Love the look and feel of this car seat! My family cannot afford most of the luxury baby brands that are on the market these days, but I would argue the design of the GoMax Baseless Car Seat is just as impressive! We are, also, constantly moving baby from various family caregivers and the Rigid LATCH feature makes transportation very simple! Also added bonus - Graco items are paying attention to the materials they are using, and the GoMax Car Seat is made with all nonflammable materials. 10/10 design Graco!

Terrible
Works great until it doesn’t. We started using the car seat on August 16. By October 7 the latches had been were working off and on for at least 2 weeks and I finally contacted graco. They sent a replacement that I started using October 13 and 4 days later the latches are now not going up at all.

Horrible. Doesn’t work with either different model cars with or without base. Bought, so it would be easy between multiple cars. Unable to change the tilt for <3 mos and greater than 3 mos. Poorly designed and now I can’t return it. So frustrated.

The Go Max is great and worth every penny!

It easily pops in and out of the car and can be traded between mine and my husband’s car. Glad we opted for this car seat rather than one that requires multiple bases for different cars.

Beautiful seat, compatibility issues
I so wanted to love this carseat more than I do, but the notes about it not being recline compatible often was definitely true for us as well. We have a 2022 Honda Passport and an Audi A4 and neither of the vehicles are able to attain the correct recline for newborns. Since we're having twins and we needed two carseats, we were really interested in the Gomax for its Rigid Latch system and baseless, easy install. With that being said, the install with the rigid latch IS easy and well made, but unfortunately for our cars, and what seems to be many others, you may need to buy bases anyways to get the correct and safe recline for your vehicle. Even Reclined all the way to 4, the level bubble was still more than halfway into the 3+ months recline level and was not able to tilt back any further. Great idea, beautiful seat, unfortunate for fitting

Don’t buy. Bad warranty policy.
Bought in June. Baby is 3 weeks old and the latch part is stick out permanently. Tried to get warranty to help but they just told us to pull the release to fix it. Surprise that didn’t work. Very irritated that it wasn’t fixed and we’re a week into trying to get them to fix it with no resolution.

Love the convenience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were only able to use the car seat for a very small period of time due to the loss of our baby girl but the color is so cute. I hope to see a matching diaper bag in the future. We loved the convenience of being able to latch it without the base. That made it easy for our big kids to get in the car with no issues. It was also easy to install the base.
