A: Our 4-month-old has slept great in it for the last 8 weeks. It doesn't exactly have a mattress but it is cushioned and the baby is very comfortable.

Q: Do I need to have a sheet on the bassinet part if I’m using this for a newborn as their main sleeping arrangement?

A: I recommend it. It can get cold. Make sure the sheets don’t cause bubbling when using on the mat. For our newborn we purchased an actually mattress to go ontop of the mat it comes with so there was no bubbling and baby was safe.

A: It comes with a foam board. It is not really a mattress. Both our babies slept on it just fine, we bought a mattress to put in only once we started to use the bottom part.

Worst crib ever
It ripped in less than 30 days. The padded mattress kept bunching up in the center and shrinking away from the edges leaving a gap between the ends and the mattress for baby to trip. This is extremely unsafe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Solid pack n play - the only thing we are not a fan of is the snaps on the mattress. The mattress is held snuggly and doesn’t bunch which is a huge plus, but the snaps are difficult to pull through the bottom of the frame.

Defective
Like many other people on here, we also received a mattress that had air bubbles in it. It’s really unsafe for newborn babies, so it renders the bassinet option on this useless. I will not be putting my baby in this, and this will be returned.
