A: It comes with a foam board. It is not really a mattress. Both our babies slept on it just fine, we bought a mattress to put in only once we started to use the bottom part.

I like that the price was so cheap and that the product was super easy to put together and to take apart. Just make sure you buy a mattress pad or a memory foam topper for the bassinet insert in the bottom part.

The mattress bubbles up creating an unsafe sleep environment. When I contacted Graco customer service they sent a new mattress that bubbles up even worse than the first one! Graco tried to blame the bubbling on the fitted sheet but it's there even without the sheet and I never even put a sheet on the replacement one. I wish I had done more research before getting this because apparently it's a known and common issue.

Excellent. Opened up easily (remember to fully pull up sides before flattening bottom). Purchased a 1" mattress to soften the base a little. Added mattress and sheets need to be 26x38 to fit snuggly.

The thin “mattress” / mat that is included is not a firm, flat surface. It bubbles up. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Worked well for about 3 weeks with infant. However Graco mattress started to have air bubble that's impossible to smooth out. After the pinch test, you can pick up much of the material. Bubbled up on one side making us feel it was very unsafe for baby to sleep in. Graco promotes safe sleep but bunching up mattress on one side does not provide safe sleep protocols. Do not recommend.
