Q: Does anyone with an SUV with fixed headrests know if this car seat works? We have a Durango where we cannot remove the headrests in our middle row and our current car seat does not work for a bigger toddler. Thanks in advance!

We have the same issue in our Sienna and there is a tiny keyhole slot on the side of the base (the base where the pins slide in). If you stick something in there they come out completely. I used a kabob skewer but a small flathead screwdriver might work.

Q: Would I need to purchase 2 of these? We use two different cars. My car and boyfriends truck. So we would need to move the car seat back and forth to whatever vehicle we are using that day. Or is the car seat easy to transfer?

A: It would probably be easiest to have two of them, but that's not financially feasible for everyone. I will eventually be buying 2 so we don't have to worry about switching between cars. It's really just personal preference.

Q: What are recommend time limits for newborn to be in this country car seat? I see most sites say if under 4 weeks old, no longer than 30 minutes. Over 4 weeks, no longer than 2 hrs. Is that accurate?

I wish the chest strap release button was easier to access (a simple flap in the fabric would be helpful). We have a Graco 4-in-1 too and I think that one is a bit more accessible. The cup holders on the 3-in-1are neat (they rotate open and closed) which might be useful as the baby gets bigger.

Its slim design makes it sleek by not adding all that bulkiness to the backseat of the car. We have two car seats in the back of our car, and the inch or two makes all the difference in the comfort of the person in the middle of the car seats. The less bulkiness of it makes it look more modern. Since it's usually not as bulky as other car seats, it is easier to move around and install. The install was easy with the latch system. Getting him fitted correctly in the seat was easy too with the no rethread harness. It makes it so quick and simple to find the correct position of the straps. My two and a half year old is pictured in the photos, and he has plenty of room to grow into it. I love that you can just buy this from birth and continue to use it until they no longer need a car seat. There is no need to spend more money switching out to different car seats. The rear facing 4 position recline would have been very handy if we had gotten it when he was a baby. As mentioned previously, we do have two children and wish we had another Slimfit as our other car seat. Our older car seat now seems so bulky compared to the Slimfit. Overall, I am very happy with the SlimFit® 3-in-1 Car Seat. You definitely get a good bang for your buck with it! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this car seat.

The install was easy and we liked that it is slim and small enough that in our small car we didn’t feel cramped. We are currently still using the rear facing and it has been really easy for our daughter to get in and out of! She likes the cozy headrests and is enjoying using it as well. It doesn’t take up a ton of room in the back seat, which is great, but it still feels roomy enough for them to sit comfortably. The two cup holders are a nice touch—you can tuck them in when you don’t need them, which helps save space. The design is simple and modern, which I appreciate. The headrest adjusts really easily without needing to rethread anything, and the black color looks clean and goes well with our car’s interior. Installing it was honestly a breeze. I really liked that there are clear indicators to let you know if it’s secured correctly—made me feel a lot more confident. Right now we’re using it rear-facing, but it looks like switching to forward-facing down the line will be pretty straightforward. Thank you for the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me this product to test and review! One thing I really love is how lightweight it is. We’ve had to move it between cars a few times, and it’s so much easier than our old one. Buckling our kid in is quick and simple too. We have a Toyota RAV4 and ended up putting the seat behind the passenger seat—it was a little tricky to reach the buckle when we tried the middle seat, and behind the driver didn’t leave quite enough room. Overall, I’m super happy with it. It’s easy to install, comfy, and feels like it’ll grow with our child for years.

I have three kids, two of whom are still in car seats, and this one has been a game-changer. The slim design is perfect for my small sedan and makes it so much easier to fit everything (and everyone!) in comfortably. Installation was a breeze, and I love how easy it is to buckle and adjust the straps. The fabric is super soft and breathable…a must in this Texas heat! The padding is fantastic too, and I love how safe and comfy my toddler looks riding in it. One of my absolute favorite features is the rotating cup holders. It sounds small, but it really makes a difference when placing two car seats next to each other, it gives us that little extra space we need. We have a compact crossover SUV with only one car seat and we have a full SUV with two car seats. We had a used car seat in the compact crossover SUV so it was nice to be given this car seat to try in our crossover as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This is a solid car seat. The instructions were easy to understand and I found it easy to install. You can install by using the seat anchors or secure with the car's seat belt. The seat reclines and the headrest is easily adjustable for whichever one of my kids I am driving. The car seat is "slim" but has plenty of room for the kids & enough passenger seat space if I'm in the back with one of them. It also has a couple of cup holders for their drinks. Although, I am not the one sitting in the car seat itself, my kids seem to be comfortable and will often fall asleep during drives. What I like most about the car seat is that it can be transformed to rear or front facing and will grow with them. It's also a booster seat for when they are older! This prevents me from buying multiple car seats as they grow. Overall, it's a solid all-in-one and I'd recommend.

There are so many car seats on the market to choose from, but this seat has many features that set it apart from the rest. It has a modern design and fits easily in vehicles that don't have very a lot of space. It is versatile being that it can be used front or rear facing (I have only used rear facing feature). The headrest can also be raised so it grows with your child. You can install the seat using the anchor bars in your car or the seatbelt, which makes it easy to transfer to and from other vehicles if need be. I like how the seat flap flips upward so you can see what you’re doing when putting the seatbelt through instead of trying to fish it through small holes in each side. The car seat also has a lot of padding inserts in it (which are machine washable and can be removed if desired) providing comfort along with extra safety if an accident should occur. My child has reflux issues so one of my favorite features is that you can adjust the recline angle to suit your child’s comfort. Overall, this car seat has many features that make it a great option for your child, especially if you don’t have a very spacious vehicle. Most importantly this seat meets all of the safety standards so you can rest assured that your child will be protected should any accidents occur.
