Q: My 1.5 year old is 30lb. is it safe for him to use?
A: Thanks for reaching out! The TurboBooster HighBack LX Booster Seat with Safety Surround is designed for use of children 40-110 lbs and 43-57" and at least 4 years of age. We recommend rear facing and the 5 point harness be used as long as possible before moving on to a Booster. We recommend checking your local and state laws, as well as AAP and NHTSA recommendations, for car seat usage.
submitted byGraco Consumer Care - 5 years agoBrand expertA: No. This seat is for preschool age children. A child that young would need a convertible car seat with a 5 point harnes.
submitted bymommyof6 - 6 years agoA: No, this is a belt-positioning booster seat. It does not have a 5-point harness. Your 1.5yo should be rear-facing in a convertible seat (a seat with a 5-point harness that can rear-face and forward-face). When your child is at least 5yo and can sit properly without moving out of place when using just the seat belt and no harness, you can switch him to a booster seat.
submitted byBonnie - 6 years agoA: just based on a childs weight is not taking into account a childs musculer deleopment. Four point straps and rear facing is designed to prevent the head from swinging forward in a head on colision.
submitted byme - 3 years agoA: No! Children should remain rear facing in a 5-point harness car seat until 2 years old at least! Check with your state laws to be sure. It’s suggested that your child max out the height/weight limit on their car seat before graduating to the next seat. Q: Does this booster have a latch system to install into the car?
A: Hi there - Thank you for your interest in our products! The TurboBooster LX highback booster seat includes a latch strap can be loosely connected to the latch anchors in your car, but it should not be tight. This feature on booster seats is to help your little one self buckle without the seat moving under them, and it also keeps the seat from moving in your car when it's not occupied. I hope this helps!
submitted byGraco Consumer Care - 6 years agoBrand expertA: Yes, it uses the child car seat hooks to install in your car.
submitted bylombarla - 7 years agoA: I don't see the latch attachments.

Q: How to reattach the back?
A: Thank you for your interest in the TurboBooster LX with Safety Surround! You would align the tabs on the back and the seat to connect them. We hope this helps! - The Graco Team
submitted byGraco Consumer Care - 1 year agoBrand expertA: Thank you for your inquiry on the Turbo Booster Highback LX Booster Car Seat! To attach the backrest, line up the “U”-shaped hooks on bottom of the seat back and interlock them with bars on the base. Once the seat back is securely attached to the base, push backrest up. We hope this helps! - The Graco Team

Q: Is this seat good for a three year old?
A: The minimum weight requirement for a child to use this seat is 40 pounds. And even still, it's highly recommended to keep your child in a 5 point harnessed car seat until age 5. Look into convertible car seats that would be a better fit!
submitted byHarmonfamilyof5 - 5 years agoA: Thanks for reaching out! The TurboBooster Highback LX Booster Seat with Safety Surround is designed for use for by children in the highback mode from 40-100 lb, 43-57 inches and at least 4 years old, in the backless booster mode from 40-110 lb, 43-57 inches and at least 4 years old. Q: Does it come fully assembled? If not, how hard is it to assemble? Thanks!
A: Thanks for reaching out! The TurboBooster HighBack LX does require partial assembly. You'll connect the head support to the back support and the back support to the base booster. We hope this helps!
submitted byGraco Consumer Care - 5 years agoBrand expertA: No, it does not come fully assembled. The head rest needs slid into the back rest and then attached to the seat base. There is also a cup holder to snap in. It only takes a few minutes to put together though.

Q: My daughter 3 years old is 33lbs. Is it safe for her ?
A: No, your child should be at least 40 pounds before using this — high-back boosters are more for the preschool/kindergarten set. A three-year-old needs to be in a five-point harness.

Q: Does this come with the cup holder?
A: Yes it does. The cup holder was in the base of my seat, so I had to snap it into place, but it was very easy to do. It also has a built in storage spot that will double as a cup holder on the right side of the seat. They are not interchangeable, so the side the cup holder is supposed to be on is the only true cup holder.
submitted byMrsM - 6 years agoA: Thanks for reaching out! The cup holder is included with the TurboBooster Highback LX Booster Seat. We hope this helps!

Q: Does this have a 5 point harness?
A: This Booster seat does not come with the 5 point harness. It does have a LATCH system anchor, and a belt positioner to use when it is just the seat base used alone.
submitted byMrsM - 6 years agoA: Thanks for reaching out! The TurboBooster LX Highback Booster Car Seat featuring Safety Surround Side Impact Protection offers a 2-in-1 belt-positioning booster with Safety Surround helps protect children from head to hips as they grow from 40-110 lb*.
