Description
HACKSAW RIDGE is the extraordinary true story of Desmond Doss (Andrew Garfield) who, in Okinawa during the bloodiest battle of WWII, saved 75 men without firing or carrying a gun. He was the only American soldier in WWII to fight on the front lines without a weapon, as he believed that while the war was justified, killing was nevertheless wrong. As an army medic, he single-handedly evacuated the wounded from behind enemy lines, braved fire while tending to soldiers, was wounded by a grenade, and hit by snipers. Doss was the first conscientious objector to ever earn the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Excellent Movie
This is a powerful movie about a real-life hero who stuck to his principles in the face of strong opposition by the military command and by his fellow soldiers. The heroism and courage of this soldier is both humbling and inspiring in the face of such extreme circumstances as war. I highly recommend it.

Outstanding True Story
A compelling movie about a conscientious objector who was awarded the Medal of Honor. The battle scenes are realistic and may be too much for some tender souls, but other than that, it is an amazing movie of courage and faith.

One of the best movies ever and I don't really like war movies . Suspenseful, action-filled, a little romance, great human interest, and such a realistic portrayal of WWII. I watched this on a return flight from Europe and had to have it to share with family and friends. It will keep you on the edge of your seat.

This is truly a masterpiece like other past movies by Mel Gibson. Passion of Christ- braveheart- patriot-we were soilders. Ect. The Dolby Atmos soundtrack is the best I ever heard.Has always I mention this I would like to see Target carry more bluray rock concerts "in the store"and a bigger selection of cds in the store.
