Q: This leaves their hands free, what do you recommend covering their hands with so they don't scratch themselves at night? Can you tuck the arms in the halo sleepsack?

submitted by plueberry - 3 years ago
  • A: This is the Halo Sleepsack, which is designed for babies too old to be swaddled (babies who roll). Halo also makes a velcro Swaddle, which covers the arms and hands. You can always cover hands with mittens to prevent scratching, but our NICU nurses told us that the benefits of letting the baby explore its hands outweigh the risks of scratches, while heal quickly.

  • A: Hi there, HALO Here. This product can cover any PJ's to ensure a comfortable night's sleep. We do not recommend tucking arms into the halo sleepsack.

  • A: The SleepSack can be worn over any pajamas to ensure a comfortable night's sleep. We would not recommend you tuck baby's arms into the SleepSack.

Q: My 4 month daughter is tall and skinny- she weighs 13 pounds and is 25 inches long. Can I go up a size and order a medium so she grows into it?

submitted by Leah - 1 year ago
  • A: HALO here. We DO NOT recommend using a SleepSack Wearable Blanket that does not correspond to your baby’s current size. The purpose of the wearable blanket is to keep your baby from having any excess material that may bunch up around the baby’s nose or mouth. If the baby is wearing a wearable blanket that is too large, there is a potential for the baby's head to slip through the neck hole or for excess material to bunch up around their face.

submitted byaden and anais - 1 year ago

Q: All the sizes appear to be for 0-24 months. Can you tell me what small, medium etc sizes are for baby length and weight.

submitted by Mary - 2 years ago
  • A: HALO here. The sizes for our Wearable Blankets are as follows (sizing and weight is based on the recommended size and weight of child, not the product): Newborn (0-3m): 19-23 in. and 5-10 lbs, Small (0-6m): 23-26 in. and 10-18 lbs, Medium (6-12m): 26-30 in. and 16-24 lbs, Large (12-18m): 30-35 in. and 22-28 lbs, X-Large (18-24m): 35-40 in. and 26-36 lbs.

submitted byaden and anais - 1 year ago

Q: What size does the L and XL fit?

submitted by Sissypot - 2 years ago
  • A: HALO here! Large fits within 12-18 months and XL fits within 18-24 months.

submitted byaden and anais - 1 year ago

Q: The description states you can swaddle baby with arms in, by face, or out. Is this accurate or does this work only with baby's arms out?

submitted by Tbueno25 - 2 years ago
  • A: HALO here! We only recommend using the Wearable Blanket in the arms out position, as intended. If you're looking for an arms-in option and your baby isn't showing signs of rolling over, you can try our SleepSack Swaddles instead. They have a 3-way design that includes an arms-in option.

submitted byaden and anais - 1 year ago

Q: How do I tell which Halo swaddles have a TWO WAY zipper? I find the inverted zippers difficult for a squirming baby.

submitted by KSM - 2 years ago
  • A: HALO here! We've updated all current models to include an inverted zipper. Currently we do not offer a method to determine which SleepSack will have a two-way zipper, so you may need to look at the product images to confirm its zipper style. Our products with the two-way zipper will have a zipper cover at the top of the SleepSack. The inverted zippers do not have this cover.

submitted byaden and anais - 1 year ago

Q: what is the fabric content?

submitted by Sarah - 2 years ago
  • A: HALO here. This SleepSack wearable blanket is made of 100% cotton.

submitted byaden and anais - 2 years ago

Q: Is this cotton sleepsack warm enough for winter? The bedroom is about 65 degrees.

submitted by BethanyO - 2 years ago
  • A: HALO here. This sleepsack is rated 0.5 TOG and is ideal for room temperatures that reach 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit. The warmest items we have are the micro-fleece and velboa sleepsack swaddles.

submitted byaden and anais - 2 years ago

Q: Where can I purchase the double zipper sleep sack? I ordered online and received the ones with the inverted zipper and I have three already that have the double zippers. The double zipper is preferable and much easier especially with my grand triplets!

submitted by Margewied - 2 years ago
  • A: HALO here! We're working on changing the zippers from our traditional single inverted zippers to the double zipper. Currently we do not offer a method to determine which SleepSack will have them, so you may need to look at the product images to confirm its zipper style. Our products with the double zipper will have a zipper cover at the top of the SleepSack. The single inverted zippers do not have this cover.

submitted byaden and anais - 2 years ago

Q: Why does the blue have two zippers (preferable) and the cream one so it can only zip top to bottom?

submitted by Kt - 2 years ago

I love this blanket! I feel at ease knowing my baby is safe and cozy in this blanket. I’ve always worried about my baby kicking the blanket over her face but with the Halo blanket, you don’t need to worry about that. The blanket is breathable, cozy and warm. Love it!

Arrived late (I had reported item as missing so Target had issued a refund - great customer service). When it did arrive it was in good condition but the zipper is not a double zipper, just a single one that you start at the top. So not as convenient when fumbling with a grumpy baby, but otherwise still a nice sleep sack so far. I switched to these after a problem with our Burt's Bees wearable blanket that came loose (zipper split) causing a possibly awful sleep hazard while baby was sleeping. So far no safety issues with these Halo ones except just note that the neck hole is pretty wide.

LOVE halo sleep sacks. We always like to have 2 on hand due to our baby being an over eater. I love the double zip feature on this sleep sack. It makes middle of the night diaper changes an ease. It is the perfect weight for living in south Texas. Very soft and breathable. The design is simple and cute. Will be purchasing in larger sizes.

I ordered this sleep sack because I have another print of it that has the double zipper and was very disappointed when I took those one out of the package to see out has the inverted zipper. My baby doesn't need overnight diaper change anymore so I don't need that for functionality and trying to get the zipper to catch under the chin of a moving baby and then pull and not hit them in the face is really frustrating! the version with the double zipper is great, the inverted zipper is awful!

These sleepsacks have become a must have in our house! We've tried a few others, but he loves these the best and sleeps better when wearing them. Plus, we can sleep easier knowing he is safe.

Double Zipper! It’s a must. The inverted zipper is impossible to put on a moving baby! And for some reason they don’t list which sleep sacks have a double zipper vs inverted zipper. So far the Animal Print and Grey Triangles have a double zipper.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My baby loves these sleep sacks, and she loved the swaddles as a smaller baby. She loves being able to stretch her legs. If I even attempt to put her in a different sleep sack she wonders where her favorite PJ’s are!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves these. She’s been using Halo sleep sacks since she transitioned out of swaddles at 4 months. She loves them so much that she likes to snuggle with them and carry them around when she gets tired. The material is very soft.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have three Halo sleep sacks of different TOGs and absolutely love them. They are easy to use, cozy, adorable designs (or great solid colors too) and help improve naps and nighttime sleep for our little guy. There are lots of sleep sacks out there but Halo has our vote!

The best wearable blanket we’ve tried

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The material is durable and lightweight but keeps our son warm - the temp tends to fluctuate in his room but he sleeps the most soundly when he’s wearing his Halo blankets for sure. Also the double zipper is so convenient for quick, non-disruptive diaper changes. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 4 week old hates anything that constricts her arms. This sleep sack is perfect for a little extra warmth but not restricting her arms. Easy to put on after she is starting to drift off to sleep. Just wish it had a 2 way zipper bc that’s tricky sometimes near her chin
