Completely Soaks Clothes; Awful!

Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend

It gets wrinkles out, but completely soaks your clothing and dribbles scalding hot water all over you in the process. I’ve tried letting it warm up longer, tilting it backwards, everything I can think of and the results are the same. I’ve had several different steamers over the years and this one is the only one I’ve ever had that did this. Absolute garbage. It’s too late to return to the store, so going to try the warranty route next!
I prefer this over an iron!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wanting a handheld steamer for awhile now, so of course I was excited to give this one a go. I like the shape of this Hamilton Beach one. It's got the water tank at the bottom, which was easy to remove and replace. Stand outs on this is, it starts to steam up pretty fast, it's lightweight, and it has a button for continuous steaming. I like using this handheld steamer versus a regular iron. I can keep my clothing item on the hanger while steaming it. I'm almost always in a hurry when getting ready so this steamer is super handy, it has quickly gotten the wrinkles out of my clothes. The cord is a great length so I am not struggling to find an extension cord. This also comes with a fabric brush attachment, which I used on curtains but didn't feel I needed it. Maybe on heavier type curtains it would be better. It's easy for me to hold, it's lightweight. Thinner clothes won't take long at all to get wrinkles out, but if you are doing heavy type clothing like jeans they will take a few minutes longer which is reasonable. The only con I see is it drips a little water on the steamer part, not sure if that is normal or not. I do like. it and use it at least once or twice a week.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little handheld steamer is awesome. I love how it allows me to focus on particular areas that need to work. If I just stick my wrinkled garment in the dryer, it doesn’t do as good a job as this handheld steamer. It’s great to be able to target areas and it works pretty quick. I’m pretty happy with it
Moving to easy handheld - best decision!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking for a hand held steamer for so long. The other one i have is an iron and steamer and i just needed something more portable and simpler - this is it. It fits in my luggage perfectly and gets the job done getting wrinkles out. I’m excited to have this option moving forward and will definitely pack on trips too.
Good but could be better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Handheld garment steamer is a good product and has a good quality. It is easy to use and work with in my personal opinion however after using it for over two weeks now I have come to the realization that doesnt work very well on extremly wrinkled cloths. Even for the less wrinkled ones you will need to hold it very close to the cloth and stay for at least 5-6 secs to see any difference. Thus, it take more time to iron larger garments and wasnt my go to option when I am in a hurry. Another thing to keep in mind is that you will have to hang the garment while ironing and leave it hanging to dry out after you are done with ironing it. Overall its a good tool to start with espatially for small garment but I would not recommend it for larger or over wrinkled garments.
Works great! Very convenient!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This handheld steamer is great. I hate to drag out the iron when I’m getting ready in the morning. It’s is a little bigger than I expected. I was hoping to travel with it but it is too large for that. Heats up fast and has a constant on lock button so you don’t have yo keep pressing the button. Over all I’m very happy with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the steamer to take some wrinkles out of my curtains. I was expecting more steam to come out than what did. But i gave it a try, it didn't seem to do much of anything. I was very disappointed. I will try it on a couple other items before I give up completely but I am really not happy with it.
Great Addition to the Collection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always wanted to upgrade from an iron to a steamer and this handheld steamer seems to a great replacement. The steamer is easy to fill and heats up in literally 1 minute and it doesn't spill out a lot of water on the garment. I did a quick run through on a pair of linen pants and was pleased with the results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked the handheld garment steamer because I hate wrinkles in my clothes, curtains and bedding. I like the design and details put into this steamer. Perfect size to grip and work the steamer and ease of filling with water and only a minute to wait for steam. I have a king size cotton comforter and it is so wrinkled that I wasn’t sure if any steamer would work. I used the fabric brush and working from top to bottom was able to steam and relax the stubborn wrinkles. It took effort but was rewarded with a smooth and beautiful soft comforter to enjoy again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice little steamer. Just add water, plug it in and it's ready to go in about a minute. Pull the trigger and release for a shot of steam or slide it to the constant on position. I was surprised by how consistent the constant on option performs. The steamer is easy to hold and maneuver.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never used a garment steamer before this one and I love it. I've always purchased the fabric release sprays or put stuff back in the dryer, but this makes so much more sense from an economic stand point. I don't have to worry about running out of the spray and I think it works much quicker too plus I don't like smelling like that stuff.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this steamer, however if it is a little on the heavy side when the water is in the basin. With tendinitis in the shoulder it is a little difficult to use, but despite the weight it is still a good steamer! If the fabric is thicker it will take more to get the wrinkles out, but on the thinner fabrics it works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used my steamer on drapes, that I had away for the summer. The steamer filled up quickly. It held enough water for me to steam both drape panels. The panel’s were very wrinkled and it took a couple of passes with the steamer, to fully get all the wrinkles out. The steamer is light and easy to maneuver. I only wish it had a longer cord.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I try to get my clothes out of the dryer quickly so they don't wrinkle, but sometimes they still need need a wrinkle release. That's where the garment steamer comes in. This handheld version does the trick pretty well. It feels substantial but light enough to use one-handed. The cord pivots to allow you to angle the steam in any direction without tangling yourself up. It gets up to temp pretty quickly and DO take care as the steam can burn you. I wish it had more variability in the steam settings, but it manages to get the wrinkles out with minimal effort. I have found that using distilled water gives best long-term results.

Came with an attachement that others might not have to work into the desired material. Holds plenty of water and long cord to make way around corners or long rooms. Easy functionality and does what it needs to do to get job done. Great tool for quick iron.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This steamer really does the trick. The large reservoir ensures enough steam for a big project and the oversized head covers a good size area. It made quite a bit of steam (which didn't show up in the photos). My wife used it to steam our holiday tablecloth for Thanksgiving and the job was a snap. Much easier than ironing, she said. We're very pleased with this product. We're traveling professional actors and this product will be great on the road to keep our costumes looking fresh.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this steamer for a couple weeks, and never thought it’d be so useful. It’s quick to set up and doesn’t take up a lot of room. The mouth of the steamer is pretty wide, which allows me to steam an item quickly. I specially like the option of having the steam come out constantly without having to keep my finger on the trigger all the time. All in all, this is a great product and I’m happy with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had several steamers before and all of them have been disasters. I was very happy to get to try this one. There are some big differences with this one. First, the water tank is fully enclosed on the bottom so NO leaking. No burns! Second it is very large so you can steam at least 10 items before a refill. Also the steamer head is very large and flat so it glides on the fabric quite smoothly. It also covers a lot bigger area. I had a rayon top that was wrinkled and I got it done in a minute or two. No wrinkles! This is a great tool for getting out wrinkles especially on lighter weight clothing. The power cord is nice and long so you can really move about. Honestly, this is the best steamer I've ever had. Thrilled with it and I recommend it very much so.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very useful for single guy who never learned to play nice with an iron. I use for my dress shirts and slacks, also casual clothes like colored tees. Easy to set up and use...no hassles. Would highly recommend. Storage and cleanup not a problem The included brush attachment is also very convenient. Never a problem with my Hamilton Beach appliances.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this steamer to get the wrinkles out of my work clothes. It heats up really fast and doesn't spit water out onto the garments. It quickly removed the wrinkles from my dress shirts and pants. The added brush attachment is also very helpful in quickly removing large creases. I like the size and gray color of this, it is also light weight and feels comfortable in my hand.
