Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Don’t have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Standing with feet together and back to a wall. Measure from floor to the top of the head.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Run small and no elastic waistband

It doesn’t have an elastic on the waistband and they run small. My son is very skinny and small and these fit too tight in the legs. They shrank even more after washing. They are also difficult for him to put on by himself since they are too tight. He is only 3 yrs old. I bought this same brand with a different type of underwear and same size and those do fit.

Where's my 10th pair???

Great designs

Bought these briefs for my son cause he loves dinosaurs and the fabric is soft and comfortable. They don’t stretch out like other brands. They don’t bunch up either. He’s happy with them and that’s all that matters. Keeps cooler and moves wit the child. Highly recommend these briefs over the other styles

Terrible quality

I’ve purchased many different store brand undies for my little guy and thought Hanes would be even better quality, but I was wrong. These have been terrible. The stitching seems rushed and low quality. They were stringy straight from the package and have only gotten worse with washing. I will definitely stick to the store brands. Would not recommend!

Not the most comfortable but he likes them

I took off one star because they are not very comfortable, but I do rely on the comforts of items like lululemon. My son likes to wear them simply because they have dinosaurs on them, though I wish more of them actually had the dinosaur design. He does not want to wear the plain ones.
