The light works by entering your body through the eyes. Vitamin D is produced when sunlight enters your body through the skin. Q: How long should one be exposed to the light each day?

A: Hi Flebitn, Thank you for your question! We recommend starting with just 10 minutes and then working your way up to a longer amount of time; slow and steady. Everyone reacts to light differently, so it’s important to find the amount of time and distance that works best for you. Some people use a light therapy lamp for as little as 15 minutes a day while others will use the same lamp for 2+ hours. When you start to feel like you’ve had too much coffee or a little amped up from the light, you’ll know you’ve hit your own personal max. Q: Do this unit have a timer? I don't see a mention of a timer in the descriptions details but someone said it has a timer in a review. If it does have a timer, what times can you set it for?

Easy to use
Great light. I love the 3 levels. Only issue is that the foot falls out. I wish it snapped in so it could be moved without it falling.

Learn from me, get the one with the most options
Way too bright, it’s like I’m experiencing snow blindness after using it which keeps giving me headaches. Need a lower setting to try to work up to the brighter ones. Hoping I’m able to return it for the luxe that has more color and brightness levels

Love my Happy Light!
I've used my Happy Light at home and work for more than 5 years and I love it! Features I appreciate include its compact size and portability, as well as the multiple adjustments available in light color and brightness. My previous light from a different manufacturer was much bigger and bulkier and did not last long at all. I've had my current Happy Light for more than 5 years and have only had to replace the adapter/power cord, which was easy and inexpensive to do.

My Happy Light Forever
I keep mine on for several hours but I only sit in front of it for he recommended minutes. It lights up my dining room and when I walk from one end of my condo to the other I aways pass by and soak up the "sunshine" and smile. Works for me. Keeps the blues away.

Got a Different Light, But Keeping It
I was sent a Happy Light Halo instead of a Touch Plus. The Halo seems to be bigger, but has pretty much the same features. Rather than deal with the hassle of returning the Halo for an exchange I just kept it. It works fine, and seems to be helping my mood. The second day I used it, though, I forgot to set the timer and had the light on for an hour. That night I was so hyper I was awake most of the night.

Great product and great customer service
I have had my Verilux VT32 for about three years now and love using it to help with the seasonal depression. It always helps my mood. When I wanted to use it this season, it was not turning on. So I called the call centre (after making sure that I was not the problem) and they offered to replace it at no cost. So not only is the product great, their customer service is also great.

Great Light for SADD
I have purchased two of these lights over the years to have on each floor per my therapists suggestion since I have SADD - seasonal depression. It has worked wonders. Not only has it helped with that but it also helped me recover quicker from jet lag from traveling to Maui. Highly recommend!

I'm happy
I'm happy with this light. It is small and bright and easy to use. I am trying to help my circadium rythum to let me sleep at night. I have been using this for a couple of weeks now. I feel like it is helping me and I'm glad i bought it. I will be continuing with this faithfully.
