Most kitchen walls are tile, this only screws into wall, should be an option for heavy duty hanging adhesive. And the pre drilled holes in back we’re not predrilled on one side. No hanging directions.

This came with an installation kit that was perfect for the length for my drywall (apartment foundation is behind). The best part I believe is that the knives stick to the top lane of magnets more than they do to the bottom lane, allowing you to securely hold your knives to the wall and allowing them to be easily taken off, reducing strain to the wall. I can see this lasting forever.
