Healthy Choice Simply Steamers Frozen Beef & Broccoli - 10oz

I followed the cooking instructions closely and it does not taste good, from the photo i expected it to taste like the ones you get at a good Chinese restaurant but nope. You get bland rice with a lot of duck sauce at the bottom and some pieces of meat and broccoli, i will say there was a good amount of meat for the amount of rice it came with though

They are frozen meals..., and exactly what one should excepted from a frozen meal as far as value, taste, quality, convenience and portion. Nothing too special, but they seem to be a bit on the healthier side of frozen meals, depending on what you need. I buy them for convenience when they are on sale for lunches or nights I don't feel like cooking.

I bought this a week ago and decided to try it tonight. Because I didn't want to cook from scratch. This is horrible, hardly any beef. I was impressed big pieces of broccoli, but the sauce is so stupidly sweet it ruins. The entire dish. I will never buy this again.

I STOPPED buying this, noticed it was different, they added Isolated Soy Protein WHICH MANY people ARE ALLERGIC to! There aren’t good choices out there in FROZEN GF or SOY-free foods….and THEY put soy protein IN a beef and broccoli/rice dish. The meat is just very BLAND also. Why bother have BEEF for protein, if you SUB-it with an isolated soy protein filler???

The picture on the box certainly doesn’t match the food!..very little beef ( which was actually good thing), little pieces of broccoli .Would not buy again and hopefully I bought this on sale. I added some sweet chili sauce and did eat it.

Personally me I love this meal. It helped me lose weight and with maintaining my overall health. I hope this meal has helped others also plus I love the taste of it, at first it seemed bland but after consistently eating the meal it was really good, I was just used to very high sodium and sugary food lol.

The food is good but why are the portions so small... Guys im 250 pounds and I get a kids plate come on now that is a tease.. its good though but dam quit rationing and feed.

Healthy choices always been a go to lunch option for me because it’s not only on the healthier side lower calorie but it’s a one and go meal that you eat and eat in the same bowl. The broccoli and beef steamers are tasty and you get plenty of meat and broccoli in each serving Out of all the steamers I think it’s in my top three of selections to choose from. I usually pair this with a side of fruit or a side salad for a complete meal and I usually garnish the microwavable product with extra sesame seeds and salt and pepper. Although the sauce is good and it really doesn’t need it. That’s just my preference, I would say I would buy it again, but I’m already buying it again. I keep them in my freezer at all times.

Very bland and not a lot of food

this frozen meal has been so bland since mid 2023.

First things first. It looked nothing like the box. It lacked in taste, portion, shoot, there was nothing appetizing about it. Extremely disappointed. I literally fed it to my dog. Hopefully he ate it. Sorry about the bad review.

It was ok, beef a little chewy. I think it would have tasted better if the sauce were packed together with the meal so it would marinate and be less dry. The main reason I won't buy again is because there was soooo much throw-away hard plastic - 2 large heavy bowls (one of them a strainer). The strainer keeps the sauce separate. Also, the plastic is not really recyclable. It is a code 5. Code 1 is readily recyclable, 2 less so, and code 5 plastic is rarely accepted for recycle. The other problem is that his type of plastic, that is whitish instead of clear, contaminates your food the most when you microwave it. So you are eating toxic remnants of microwaved plastic. It's really unconscionable that in this day and age a company would make a product so environmentally unfriendly and with this type of plastic.

I bought this item and I wasn’t expecting it to be so tasty and flavorful, there was perfect amount of beef and broccoli in each bite, and I added hot sauce for good measure!! Tasty bowl and I will be buying more from this brand!

This healthy choice meal was good. Overall good flavor and delicious. The portions size was okay for 16g of protein. I would buy this meal again.

I came home from a long day of work hoping to enjoy a quick easy to make meal. I warm the food up and it doesn’t even fill the bowl it came with. There is a plate filled with food on the cover of the box. Whether that plate on the box is big or small, the bowl it came with doesn’t even fill…when it’s spread out… I just don’t understand who will be satisfied with just a bite and that’s it. It’s not even that the food tastes bad, I would just like more food in the plate. I can’t believe I have to write this review. I get it Obesity is a problem in America, but killing my vibe on a Monday night with just a bite is not it. Fix the problem and I will gladly buy another box. More is better.

I prepared this for my dinner tonight. And then I threw it in the trash. Big waste of my money. I found ONE piece of meat in my dinner. Nothing like the label! I wish I could post a photo.

Meat is not bad and if it didn't taste watered down it would be great

Bought recently and it was only so, so as some of the beaf was tough to chew other than that it was okay.
