The carver is one piece construction with a full tang, which makes for effortless carving, and nice even slices. We have used this set for poultry, beef and pork and we are very pleased with how it works.

I learned my lesson, after my last thanksgiving boo boo, I raced out get a carving set. I realized that it should be a good quality set because it will have to last and look good thru decades of holiday meals. Amongst all of the mediocre sets out there I was so happy to find a good quality set for much less than I thought I would have to pay.
