Disappointed. So disappointed. Expensive HUGE butterknife.
I was so smitten with the idea but it's an entire let down. First of all it's so much bigger than I would have expected for a butterknife. Not a deal breaker if it was awesome. It's not a game changer at all. When you set the knife in the butter it sits there mildly melting the butter right where the knife touches the butter but it's not moving the knife through the butter any quicker than just slightly more pressure would. Lame. Perhaps there's a slight improvement to spreading the still cold butter on the toast but you have to lay the knife on the butter and wait it out and then spread. Definitely not satisfying. Then I found the company suggests softening the butter first for best results. Um. Hmmm. Why hot knife then?
