This shampoo and conditioner made my hair more dry and frizzy. I did not like how thick the conditioner was.

I have tried numerous other options before and always ended up with poor results. Now this, it gives results and helps to tame that frizz. It smells very nice, it is very to apply, lathers up well, and rinses out a without any residue. Moisturizes her hair and keeps it soft and silky feeling.

For close to a year I was trying different hair mask treatments and deep conditioners with little to no results aside from draining my bank account. I didn't have much hope for Herbal Essences because I've always seen them as a "budget brand" but boy did their POTENT ALOE + HEMP line change my opinion of that. I've been using both the shampoo and conditioner in the POTENT ALOE + HEMP Real Botanicals line for over a month and I am shocked at how my hair feels! Consistently, my hair has been soft and silky with a beautiful shine to it which I have not seen since before I bleached my virgin hair. When I was using deep hair mask treatments with Keratin and such, I did not achieve this level of silkiness and any benefit I did get from those hair masks was immediately gone once I washed my hair with any other cleanser. I only wash and condition my hair every 2-3 days and when using the Herbal Essences bio-renew POTENT ALOE + HEMP Real Botanicals Frizz Control line, my hair is soft, silky, and manageable with a beautiful healthy shine, day in and day out. I haven't experienced any product build-up and my results have been consistent. I can't recommend this product enough---especially if you have fried hair like me! I was ready to chop about 5 inches of my hair off that I thought would never look or feel healthy again and I am SO HAPPY that I tried this product instead because now I can keep that hair! My hair is very frizzy, dry and unfortunately I have a lot of split ends! (I hate it) I was happy to try Herbal Essences new product bio-renew sulfate free POTENT ALOE + HEMP REAL BOTANICALS FRIZZ CONTROL. My hair is not easy I've tried so many brands of shampoos and conditioners with No luck! When I usually buy something that doesn't work with my hair feels nasty and dry and it gets all tangled. When I first used this set my first impression was that my hair felt more healthy ... my hair has been more manageable,less frizzy, soft, it no longer tangles as much as before! I will definitely keep using this product longer hopefully I have no more need to look for another shampoo or conditioner. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have extremely curly hair and need conditioner everytime I wash it.This conditioner had a very thick consistancy and I really didn't need to use as much as I would my regular conditioner.I'm not sure about the smell though.Its not real bad but just different and kind of hard to explain.Maybe a little to fruity for me.Once my hair dried it didn't seem as frizzy as normal which is good.

Although the shampoo was great, the conditioner was a huge letdown. The smell isn't soft like the shampoo, but more forceful and as best I can describe more soapy and less appealing fragrance. I spent many days trying out different amounts in my shoulder length hair, but if I didn't use enough my scalp was ok, but my ends were to put it bluntly, crispy. If i used enough to soften the ends my hair was so weighed down and didn't feel good at all. Unfortunately it didn't improve the general frizz situation either. I was hoping that the marriage of aloe and no dyes would help my hair and maybe of the formula changes I might try again.

This new conditioner is from their bio:renew line and is composed of a delicious Potent Aloe and Hemp combination. There are absolutely no sulfates, parabens, or colorants in this conditioner. It is also certified green, cruelty free (big plus), pH balanced, and safe for color-treated hair! My first impression was that I loved the light scent of the conditioner. First glance at the packaging and I noticed a Royal Botanical Gardens - Kew seal of approval. Later investigation into that seal determined it refers to a global expert on plants. That means the ingredients used in this conditioner are expert approved! This product works best to control frizzy hairs but I also found it does wonders in controlling excessive oils in the hair. Basically, my hair gets oily within two days, usually, of washing it but when I used this conditioner, with the matching shampoo, I have been able to extend that timeline to three days. I think this product would work best on hair that gets oily fast and for providing moisture for the hair in a clean, environmentally-friendly way! The only reason I give this product four stars out of five is because, after two weeks usage of this product, my scalp is experiencing a reaction. I am not sure which ingredient it is, but there is an ingredient inside it seems I am allergic to. This is, obviously, a rare reaction to this product and in now way determines how another user will react. Please give this a try, especially if your hair type is described above!

Many conditioners tend to cause my scalp to be itchy or flakey. This requires only a small amount to work through your hair. It smells wonderful! Even my husband likes it. The aloe really hydrates and reduces frizz. I noticed it after just 1 use. After a few weeks of daily use, I have not experienced any itchy scalp or flakes. My only complaint would be that it takes a bit of manipulation to really get it completely rinsed out. Overall, My hair is softer, smoother and smells amazing! I'm very picky about the products that I use, I prefer to only use natural/organic. I was very happy with this along with the shampoo as well.
