Herbal Essences bio:renew Hemp + Potent Aloe Sulfate Free Shampoo Frizz Control 20.2 fl oz

I have eczema that rears its ugly head every fall until spring. The last few years I’ve been experiencing scalp eczema as well and have been going through a crazy amount of shampoo brands trying to find anything to stop the itching and burning. I saw this product at the grocery store and decided to give it a whirl since the ingredients were mostly clean. I’ve never paid attention to hemp shampoos in the past because I figured it’s just one of the latest fads that’s overhyped. With eczema I have to be very careful of the products I use. The only thing that could make this product better would be to just eliminate the fragrance which can be a dehydrator. I just washed my hair and oh my heaven! The itching is almost gone. The burning is non existent and there’s a cooling sensation on my scalp that feels amazing. I only wish I tried this line a while ago.

I have thick wavy hair that is frizzy & poofy.. this is the first product I've found that actually gets rid of frizz! No frizz, super smooth and shiny...looks like I just left the salon but all I did was wash it and let it air dry!

I've had a massive breakout of psoriasis in my scalp for almost a year. Nothing else was working, even prescription creams/ointments (which make your hair gross). I decided to give this a shot and within a couple months my psoriasis breakout is almost completely gone. I haven't had this clear it a scalp since this started nearly 20 years ago!!! I also haven't had to switch off this product like I ALWAYS have to do after 3 to 6 weeks. Only complaint is it does NOT help my frizz at all lol. The clearing of the psoriasis and fact I don't have to keep rotating shampoos was is worth 5* to me though.

Hands down one of the best shampoos I’ve used. The smell is amazing, smells slightly like coconut, the shampoo leaves your hair feeling light and clean, and I usually struggle with extremely greasy hair and I was able to shower at night and wake up the next day with my hair still looking fresh and clean. My hair looks shiny, feels very soft, and no frizz in sight. This shampoo is also color friendly so the red in my hair is thanking me. Highly recommend! If you were thinking about it, don’t hesitate.

This shampoo made my hair more dry and frizzy. I liked your other smoothing shampoo, Golden Moringa Oil smooth shampoo. That shampoo had the perfect balanced moisture that my hair needed and I never had any trouble with it and you took it away. The Hemp Potent Aloe shampoo is not good though.

Best Best shampoo ever I would recommend it to anyone leave your hair beautiful silky smooth and easy to use for your hairs finiest hair tool. So buy it my hair is frizzy

I’ve tried a lot of salon shampoos and conditioners. I have fine hair that is easy to damage and is frizz prone. It doesn’t help that I bleach my hair and also wash and straighten it daily. I was so frustrated with everything I tried. It would either weigh my hair down, make it greasy, or just dry it out and make it frizz. Then I tried this Herbal Essences Potent Aloe + Hemp. It is the perfect balance for my hair type. I have volume, no frizz, and soft silky feel to my hair. I absolutely love this product. Thank you!

Personally, the Hemp + Aloe shampoo works great for my hair. My hair isn’t dried out after using and it helps to tame the frizz. A few months ago this shampoo smelled different with more of a vanilla like aroma or something, I really liked that smell. Now it smells more fruity. Either way it smells good. I would buy the conditioner if it had just as clean of ingredients too!

I'm trying to look up what the PH Level in this shampoo is. Y'all claim it's balanced, but what is the number???

Absolutely Love This Product, Though I Do Wish It Was Sold In Large Bottles

The conditioner felt great in my hands, since it was heavy and thick I expected it to make my hair silky and soft. It actually tangled my hair while still in the shower. After, I let my hair naturally dry because it was still tangled and I could not get a brush through. It left my hair dried out and feeling like straw. Will not use or recommend to anyone.

I feel like I am doing my hair a favor. It does control my frizz. I've tried many different products that hasn't failed me. This is my new go to brand. For close to a year I was trying different hair mask treatments and deep conditioners with little to no results aside from draining my bank account. I didn't have much hope for Herbal Essences because I've always seen them as a "budget brand" but boy did their POTENT ALOE + HEMP line change my opinion of that. I've been using both the shampoo and conditioner in the POTENT ALOE + HEMP Real Botanicals line for over a month and I am shocked at how my hair feels! Consistently, my hair has been soft and silky with a beautiful shine to it which I have not seen since before I bleached my virgin hair. When I was using deep hair mask treatments with Keratin and such, I did not achieve this level of silkiness and any benefit I did get from those hair masks was immediately gone once I washed my hair with any other cleanser. I only wash and condition my hair every 2-3 days and when using the Herbal Essences bio-renew POTENT ALOE + HEMP Real Botanicals Frizz Control line, my hair is soft, silky, and manageable with a beautiful healthy shine, day in and day out. I haven't experienced any product build-up and my results have been consistent. The scent of this shampoo is light and pleasant and definitely smells like a synthetic fragrance. I can't recommend this product enough---especially if you have fried hair like me! I was ready to chop about 5 inches of my hair off that I thought would never look or feel healthy again and I am SO HAPPY that I tried this product instead because now I can keep that hair! Don't give up yet! TRY THIS PRODUCT FIRST!!!

Been using this one for about a week and my hair already feels softer doesn’t get greasy as easy and definitely tamed the frizz. I have the conditioner too which is also great and it leaves your hair smelly wonderful too! Would definitely buy again!

Absolutely LOVE this shampoo and conditioner!!! My hair feels so soft and looks so healthy. And the smell is awesome. I would defiantly recommend this product to everyone.

My hair is very frizzy, dry and unfortunately I have a lot of split ends! (I hate it) I was happy to try Herbal Essences new product bio-renew sulfate free POTENT ALOE + HEMP REAL BOTANICALS FRIZZ CONTROL. My hair is not easy I've tried so many brands of shampoos and conditioners with No luck! When I usually buy something that doesn't work with my hair feels nasty and dry and it gets all tangled. When I first used this set my first impression was that my hair felt more healthy ... my hair has been more manageable,less frizzy, soft, it no longer tangles as much as before! I will definitely keep using this product longer hopefully I have no more need to look for another shampoo or conditioner. I really love the way it smells and I love that it doesn't have chemicals that can harm your hair instead of helping it! It has botanical sources and natural ingredients such as aloe!! I definitely recommend!!

I like the fact of it having natural ingredients. It smelled good as well and the scent was not too overpowering. It smelled refreshing ! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With it being sulfate free it didn't have as much lather as I'm use to,but overall it made my hair soft and manageable.I felt like I had to use more of the product than needed due to it not lathering like my normal shampoo.It did seem to help with the frizz control as I do have naturally curly hair.I do think that the smell is a little to fruity,but I don't care much for sweet fruity scents like that.Otherwise it did a good job overall with being able to manage my hair and control the frizz.

It is definitely not something I works recommend or buy. The brand is generally average and affordable which is good but I would rather pay more for a higher quality product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the privelage of being able to try Herbal Essence's new plant-based shampoo through Shopper's Army at no cost in exchange for an honest review of the product. This new shampoo is from their bio:renew line and is composed of a delicious Potent Aloe and Hemp combination. There are absolutely no sulfates, parabens, or colorants in this shampoo. It is also certified green, cruelty free (big plus), pH balanced, and safe for color-treated hair! My first impression was that I was not a fan of the strong scent of this shampoo. First glance at the packaging and I noticed a Royal Botanical Gardens - Kew seal of approval. Later investigation into that seal determined it refers to a global expert on plants. That means the ingredients used in this product are expert approved! This shampoo works best to control frizzy hairs but I also found it does wonders in controlling excessive oils in the hair. Basically, my hair gets oily within two days, usually, of washing it but when I used this shampoo, with the matching conditioner, I have been able to extend that timeline to three days. I think this product would work best on hair that gets oily fast and for providing moisture for the hair in a clean, environmentally-friendly way! The only reason I give this product four stars out of five is because, after two weeks usage of this product, my scalp is experiencing a reaction. I am not sure which ingredient it is, but there is an ingredient inside it seems I am allergic to. This is, obviously, a rare reaction to this product and in now way determines how another user will react. Please give this a try, especially if your hair type is described above!
