Tastes like milk chocolate, not dark chocolate

I got this syrup because they were out of the original and I wanted to make chocolate milk. It does not taste like dark chocolate. It takes a lot more of this syrup than the original to make milk even taste like chocolate at all. It has a less chemical-like aftertaste than the original but it also seems more diluted in flavor. I think the original is better personally.
