Won't Run 3 Monitors Like I Hoped

I purchased this dock specifically because I have three detached monitors on my desk that I want to run while the lid of the laptop(s) are closed. (I have two laptops: a circa 2017 HP ZBook G3 with displayport built into the USB-C ports, and a brand new Elitebook 840 G8 for work). My screens are two 1080 HD monitors that are 5 or 6 years old, but use combinations of displayport and HDMI, and my main monitor is a 2010 era Apple Cinema Display 27" with mini-Displayport. With adapters, each of the monitors run fine at their native resolution, and without this dock, I can run any two of the monitors plus the built-in laptop screen (which is physically smaller and harder to read). The dock, however, has two full size Displayports and HDMI, and I hoped I could all three monitors to the dock and then the dock to the laptop with a single cable. My experience, however, is that while I can connect the three monitors this way, one of the monitors is always at the wrong resolution (and will not allow adjustment). If I take one of the monitors (HDMI is my choice) out of the dock and plug it directly into the laptop(s), then I get all three monitors working the way I want. So... I can get what I want, but not the way I wanted it. My configuration is such that I don't use the dock's other port -- I only care about the monitors. That's my reason for marking this down to 3 stars.

Power button on docking station is always illuminated making it difficult to know when it turns computers on or off. The on/off power button for laptops was determining factor in purchasing this docking station.

Nice smaller profile than previous model. Being newer I needed an HDMI end for my monitor. Problem solved with additional purchase of a dongle.

Does not find nor drive a monitor connected via DisplayPort. (Monitor/cables verified via a Dell docking station). Laptop is an HP Envy 13 purchased in April 2022.

This docking station is the best I’ve used so far. It allows me to charge my laptop from it, saving me an electrical outlet. In addition it has several USB options, as well as an HDMI for a monitor. The only complaint I have is that there are not more USB C ports

I suppose if someone orders a docking station, you assume they know how to use it successfully. NOt the case here......still cannot get the connections usable. Tutorials would be beneficial

This is a good deal. I finally can connect my printer to my laptop without having to disconnect my keyboard. I only wish it had come with a displaypot to HDMI adapter so I can connect a 2nd minitor.
