A: Hi! Thank you for your question. Yes, our sampler conditioners (along with all of our formulas) are scented with a natural, essential oil blend of citrus. I would say the scent is definitely mild, but can depend on the person. It does not linger after use. We do also have a fragrance-free set if you are interested in checking that out. A: Our bars are not made directly with palm oil or palm oil derivatives, however, some of our ingredients may periodically contain palm oil derivatives. Up until recently, we had felt confident in telling customers that our products were 100% free of palm oil. We’d sourced a supplier who assured us that their cetyl alcohol (an ingredient used in making our surfactant) was created without palm oil. We took their word for truth, and excitedly told the world. A knowledgeable customer challenged us on that, which made us go back to that supplier to ask for a written guarantee. They could not supply one. The best they could do was tell us that their cetyl alcohol was created with grapeseed oil and coconut oil, but now they added the caveat that they could not guarantee that there were not periodic traces of palm oil. That’s not really good enough for us, and we’re pretty sure it’s not good enough for some of our customers. So, we’re pushing on them to figure out their supply chain, so that they can guarantee that their cetyl alcohol is what they say it is – 100% palm oil-free. We've also started pushing back on our other suppliers and the supplier of our BTMS cannot guarantee that it’s 100% palm oil-free at this time either; that a derivative may be used in the process of making these ingredients however isn’t tracked closely enough to say for certain. We did recently switch to glycerin made from soy so that we can avoid palm oil. Most glycerin cannot be verified to not use palm oil. We’ve studied alternatives for the above ingredients and are not able to find guaranteed to be palm free. We’ve looked the world over. We’ve had suppliers change their language on their sites after conversations with them about their claims ending up not being true. If you know of any suppliers who can verify no palm in these ingredients, we’d be very interested in contacting them.

A: Yes, 100% gluten-free. Our suppliers have also confirmed that the rice protein (an ingredient in our Moisturize bars) and date extract (an ingredient in our Volumize set) we use are free of gluten as well.
