A: Hi. Great question. We have good news for you. All our bars are color safe - NO SULFATES! - so all good for color. It was really the first thing we considered when we set out to create a true salon-quality product. So feel free to find the bar that suits your underlying hair type.

Q: I've never seen a solid conditioner before. How does this work?

A: Hi. Yes, it's a pretty new concept, but very simple. Liquid conditioners are at least 80% water. That's why they need plastic packaging. We found a way to formulate salon-quality conditioner ingredients without the water. To use, simply get your hair really wet, take that conditioner bar and run it though your hair, paying special attention to where your hair gets driest, ie your middles and ends. You'll feel a slight slip between your fingertips and hair. That's when you know your hair has a nice coating of conditioner.Let it sit for a couple of minutes then rinse. That's it!

Q: Is there a fragrance in this conditioner?

A: Hi. Yes, we use essential oils... the same fragrance for all our current shampoo and conditioner bars. A simple, fresh citrusy scent derived from a blend of lime peel, orange peel, lemon peel, grapefruit peel, and ginger root. The fragrance is strongest when the bar first comes out of the pack, but dissipates quickly.

A: Hi. Thanks for asking. We recommend keeping them up out of standing water and away from any direct spray from your shower. (We use wire/chrome shower organizers. PS Target has great ones!) Stored that way, so that they can dry out a bit between uses, the bars will last and last.

Well not only is this impossible to jhold on to but impossible to actually rub into your hair. I gave this many try's and while it may be conditioning I can not seem to use is. Is there a trick to this? My hair was so dried out I could not get the knots out of it

Allergic reaction
I used this shampoo along with the conditioner twice. After the first use my ears started to itch, but I didn’t think much of it. I used them again a few days later and loved how my hair felt, but my whole head started to itch and I broke out in hives on my scalp and face as well as down my back and the backs of my legs. I clearly had a contact dermatitis type of reaction. I am still itchy, but the hives have gone away after taking Benadryl and applying a topical cream from my dermatologist. I do not consider myself to have sensitive skin, but this was a pretty strong reaction. Sadly, I cannot recommend.

A conditioner bar was definitely a new experience for me. I’ve used shampoo bars before, and they lather like normal, but I had never tried a conditioner bar before, and it just sort of lightly glosses over your hair—but totally gets the job done. This worked super well for me and my wavy hair. A little goes a long way; even when I wasn’t sure it was really working, it was! Just don’t expect a regular conditioner experience. Love the sustainability considerations too. And regarding the shape: it makes it easy to apply, although it does make the bars a little less easy to store (they take up more space, especially if you have two of them).

Strange that the shampoo and conditioner are the same color and shape, although the shampoo has a stamped S on it. Obsessed! I have long hair with very fine strands and tends to get oily at the root after a day of no wash for reference. The scent of this product is very light and refreshing - I think it would work for the majority of people due to the subtlety. It was very easy to use and apply to my hair. My hair feels INCREDIBLE after drying. Very soft, shiny and no frizz. Honestly cannot stop touching it. Hard to tell the level of volumizing as my hair is rather long and weighed down right now, but it certaydud have some bounce to it. Definitely read the directions on the box so you apply properly as it is a different application than a typical liquid.

I really wanted this to be great. I love the idea of getting away from plastics and switching to a bar conditioner, I just don't feel like this moisturizes my hair very well and end up adding moisturizing product in after I have towel dried. Handy and No plastic
I have used the shampoo and condor over a year and love it. Initially got for taking to the gym, it became my main shampoo/conditioner. I have very sensitive skin and this product causes no issues. In fact my hair and scalp improved. Just don’t expect a lot of foam. It really works even without it.
