Used to be my go-to, now is lacking
I have been purchasing this gingerbread house for the past 4-5 years. I have steadily watched the quality, and offerings, go downhill. For the price, it should come with more items to decorate it with. I think it is now very overpriced for what is being offered. I understand I'm paying fo rhte convenience of it already being built, but I think that is too high of a price to pay for it.

My house full of Christmas guests loved these. They’re put together in a very stable way, none of them came apart, and the icing that came with them worked very well for decorating. I did buy a lot of extra colored icing and candy, because the candy that comes with them is pretty tiny and not very much. Surprisingly, they taste very good. A couple people didn’t take theirs home, and I broke them up into gingerbread pieces the size of cookies, and brought them to an event, and people loved them.

Prebuilt gingerbread house
The gingerbread house is great. The packaging is crap (in a clear plastic bag). The first I got was broken. I exchanged it, no problem. When I went to pick another out there were several on the shelf broken. I mean, the clear packaging allows you to see the house and if it’s in good condition but also the reason why so many are broken.

Like that, it is premade but skimpy on icing bag and decorations
The fact that it was already premade made decorating these so much more fun because we didn’t have to spend time putting the house together. It came with a very small amount of candy so you will need to get your own. Also, the reason this is not five stars is because it does not come with a tip on the piping bag. Incredibly hard to use so you need to buy your own icing as well. You’re basically just getting the house for this price.

The Best
I've been a mom for 18 years. I've decorated, or overseen the decorating of, my share of gingerbread houses. This year, I tried another competitors "pre-built" gingerbread house. I ordered 8 and every. single. one was broken. So I went back to these. They are somewhat pricey, especially when you are buying 8, but I'll never assemble another gingerbread house. So I'll be buying these again next year. Let one thing just be easy :) Also, I have no idea if these taste good. No one ever eats them.

Too much for ao little
Very expensive for what you get. $18. Small bag of single type of candy for decoration. Square bag of frosting. Past years we would get a bag of frosting with a squeeze tip and more candy with which to decorate. Having a pre-made house is nice. We had candy at home we used, but this is not worth $18. Will be more prudent next year and if it is lacking and expensive I will not buy.

Corporate greed strikes again
Target should be ashamed of itself - price at register and currently online is $21.48 — one of the prices on the shelf said $12 which is why we grabbed it and were surprised at the register. Insane - pretty sure these were somewhere around $12 to $15 last year

Awful!
I have no idea what would justify charging $18 for this. It came with hardly any candy for decorations and the frosting was a mess! Couldn’t even bother to put it in the bag to easy squeeze right from the bag. We lost most of it transferring it to the piping bag. So disappointing. We get our gingerbread houses from Target every year. This will be the last!

Overpriced, very sad!
These used to be our favorite, I would buy 1 for each of my 4 kids. Now the price went up to $18 making them not affordable. Also I noticed there is no longer candy included which would make the cost even more. Do better Target.

The price increase to $18 is insane. Honestly I didn’t even look, I just assumed it was a good deal like every other year and put it in my cart, only to be surprised at checkout. (My bad for not paying attention to the price first).

Avoid this product
The price change combined with the decrease in size and quality ( icing no longer comes preloaded in a squeezable bag with a tip, now it is in a bag that must be transferred to another bag without a control tip) makes this item an insanely bad buy.
