A: Hello, the pole height is not adjustable. This reading lamp has a flexible 45° rotatable pole, 90° rotatable lampshade, and an adjustable height to easily change lighting directions.

I had to return it twice! After a month the arm kept falling and no matter how many times I tightened it, it would just fall again. I guess it it a faulty lamp design and can’t hold the weight?!? Disappointed.

If this lamp were a foot taller, I'd love it. I'm using it as a grow lamp. The base and arm won't hold for a heavy bulb (12-16 oz) but for regular lighter-weight bulbs, it's fine. Flexibility in the adjusting direction of the light and lean of the arm is great.
