the bed is exactly as shown. It is easy to assemble and tooke me about 2-3 hrs to get it setup. I was hesitating when I saw the other reviews and the bed is better than I expected.

Exactly as pictured. Assembly was very annoying and frustrating. The little L shaped tool stripped after just doing the headboard and footboard so I really struggled to get the rest put together with the short end of the L tool. I’ll update if there’s any issues after I get to using it for a while.
