Hot Wheels City Dragon Drive Firefight Playset

Made a great birthday gift for my 3 year old who loves all things hot wheels! Easy for me to put together and he is loving that you can add on to it!

My child was invited to a birthday party and she picked this out as a gift. It was a hit for the birthday boy! Such a fun hot wheels give it won’t disappoint. I was there when they put it together and it did take a bit but once it was done we have no complaints.

Great toy! It was a Christmas gift for my 6 year old and he loved it. Easy to put together!

It looks cool and my four year old was very excited, but like a lot of of others reviews, it doesn’t seem to function well. The launcher sticks, and some of the pieces don’t snap together well. When the fire truck actually goes around the second loop and hits the dragon, the whole dragon piece falls off. I very carefully made sure I had it attached properly and securely and it still came off on contact. Maybe I wasn’t patient enough, but I had to destroy the box to get it out. I would return it if I hadn’t obliterated the box.

Like other reviews my son was quickly frustrated by the fact he (nor I) could hit the lever hard enough to circle through 2 loops to defeat the dragon by knocking it over. My 6yo son eventually figured out that it works by starting from the second loop, which is also stated, not so clearly, in the directions. So it takes 2 “launches” to hit the dragon with a car - one launch per loop.

The release lever was too hard to push. My toddler and husband could not get enough force for the car to go around and knock down the parts like it’s intended. We returned this item

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My sons loved this play set! When we first got it, we played with it for hours! They ran and got all of their hot wheels cars and other play sets. This play set was very easy to assemble. My kids were able to do it on their own. The set is very sturdy and has a lot of fun features!

This set looks cool, but is disappointing. It’s a pain in the butt to assemble and does not function easily. I have no idea why they put a fire truck with it that won’t even work properly. Ours gets stuck in the fire station, won’t go down the ramp, and won’t go through the loop. You have to use a different car to get it to work, and to get it to work you have to try a hundred times. My 4 year old gets frustrated and disinterested when he has to try over and over and over again, I don’t blame him.

My 2.9 years old son choose this dragon Hot Wheels set, which he liked because of the dragon and the fire. Although the assembly part took us a little bit (just because the kids were excited and looking forward to playing with it) finally we got it. In the beginning, the loop was challenging, but after some practice, both my 2.9 and 4 years old spend a lot of time playing with it. It is true that in order to hit the dragon face and make it lay down, they normally have to do it in 2 steps (there are two different places where you can place the car in the loop, and in the second place normally always works better). Not sure if it is the fact that is a new toy, but it is potentially becoming a favorite one. We have already ordered more extensions, the gorilla and the scorpion!!!!

Child loves it, hard to initially get car around but figured it out

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the perfect toy. It is a top hit at my house anytime a kid comes over. It has been put throught the test of 4 kids playing at once and it came out fine! It works well, and is very fun to play with even for adults!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great toy! The dragon head was a little hard to get on buy once it was on that thing is not going anywhere. I loved that the different sets interconnect so we can build one huge city. Minimal stickers which is a huge plus for me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great concept and seems really fun, but it was hard for both my 6 year old and 4 year old, not to mention both parents, to get the dragon to be "defeated". If you don't hit the launch button just right, or just hard enough, it won't knock the dragon down. The fire truck that comes with it works okay for the job, but we ended up searching through all the other hot wheels cars we have to find one that worked better. My little boy started just knocking the dragon head over on his own, without the car. He had a lot of fun with that, but it's not really the point of the whole system.

My 5 year old son loves this set and it keeps him entertained for hours. This set is great as an addition to attach to other Hot Wheels play sets or to play with by itself. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my 6 year old who likes dragons and cars, just like a lot of kids. Putting the play set together wasn’t too difficult since the instructions are pretty clear on what to do. The finished product looks cool with the dragons mouth open. But in order for the fire truck to go around the two loops you have to slam on the button pretty hard which makes the whole thing super loud. The car goes around the first loop ok but the second, bigger one is a little harder and he can never seem to get to hit the dragons head just right. Makes for a really frustrated little kid and annoyed parent because of the noise.
