A well made product that works fantastic snd had the ultimate in storage dor me. I do a lot of Engineer work on it and have barely used the storage become there is so much. It is adept at performing with SolidWorks, Matlab, design and mechanical computer tools. I highly recommend this pc tower and it is small enough to sit under my desk and not get in the way of my legs.

This is my fourth Hp desktop and I've never been disappointed with any of them. Setting up was a breeze. I've only had this one for a couple of weeks, but so far I've not found anything that doesn't work. The SSD drive is really great: boot time is about fifteen seconds. I can't say that I'm impressed with Windows 11. Seems to be much change for the sake of change. But the machine itself is good. Two things I think could be improved: 1) the power button is a little difficult to manipulate. and 2) I wish Hp would go back to the tray type of optical drive. We use this drive often and on this new machine it's very flimsy and difficult to load. I suspect it may not last long. But for now all is well.

I had the same HP desktop with the same specs, but after 8 years, I thought it needed more pep, so I ordered a new one and was glad it came in white. My entire desk area is white, which makes me feel inspired to get to work. I was glad to see that transferring my 91,000 files could be accomplished wirelessly with Carbonite. I'm getting used to the Windows 11 program and it's all systems go!

This computer tower makes my home office and personal work a breeze. It boots up within seconds and allows me to complete task in a fraction of the time it has previously taken me to complete these tasks. It sets itself up and I had zero issues when transferring all my applications, files and settings with PC mover. I couldn't be more happy and impressed with this system.

    Too many programs

There are many “features” to be deleted or turned off. I am not tech-savvy, and only need a simple machine. This one automatically saves my documents to the cloud — NO! Automatically suggests how to compose documents —NO! Had to disable many things. Had to subscribe to extra cost version of Microsoft 365 to be able to properly use Excel & Word! Very difficult/almost impossible to transfer documents from my old HP Laptop. Product description on website did NOT state that this computer did not come with a webcam or speakers; had to purchase in addition after the fact. Luckily, I did not have a Zoom mtg for a few weeks! Summary: irritating to use. I don’t want Microsoft to force me to do things its way, rather than my own way. By the way, HP Smart Friend is not very helpful in trying to help with setup.

The function of this computer has been very good. I would have preferred a different look to the case but it is functional. I am not happy that moving files from my old computer is so difficult with Windows 11. It tries to steer all your data to the cloud. I do not want it on the cloud at all.

    Does the Job well

Does the job as expected, no problems or surprises. However, I have two gripes: I don't care for the vertical orientation of the DVD drive. The way I am set up (and can't change) , the loading side faces away from me and is awkward to use. A horizontal drive would be easily accessed from either side. I'm not a fan of the white color used -- it really stands out (in a bad way) with the rest of my equipment, furniture, and surrounding area. The keyboard colors are hard to read with poor contrast between white keys and gray characters. Characters should be black.

I had trouble with Microsoft OneDrive. When I disabled OneDrive, it dumped all my pictures into the recycle bin. Fortunately, I had the pictures saved on an external drive, which I used to place the pictures in the Pictures Folder. No problem, but it is problematic that OneDrive software decided to delete things on its own.

My HP Review Jan., 2, 2025

First of all, I'm not happy with white, but I knew that coming in but the black choices did not have features I wanted, and had some that I did NOT want. The keyboard and tower will look awful as tthey darken from dust, dirt and oils from my hands. The USB slots where the flash drives go are very tight and one might be thinking that he could damage the inside or the flash itself, and obviously I'm not excited that they are verticle. The tower, or cabinet if you will, has no rubber feet and is so lightweight that trying to push the flash drive in, just makes the computer slide towards the back of the desk You actually need to use two hands, one containing the flash, and the other to pull the tower back to you so it doesnt get away. Speaking of verticle, also the DVD drive is also verticle, another strike against this computer. I believe the DVD drive is made very cheaply, almost tinny. NO motor as in previous PCs that push the tray out to you.. I guess having user manuels are a thing of the past. Its nice that manuels are online, but just try switching full screens from manual to a project you are currently working on. Much having a booklet opened to the page. I'm looking into the future, will power cords, a mouse and a keyboard still be included in the box? I'm not looking for games to play, I dont do that, but it would be nice buying a new product to have at least "Word" installed so one can carry on with life. We buy a program for one computer and then we buy another computer and need to repurchase the programs we use over and over.

The documentation for the new computer is not the same as what HP provided in the past. Even the online documents do not provide a detail motherboard document to name one item lacking. The setup and transfer from an old computer went okay. There is a problem with the hibernate mode in windows 11 and HP does not allow a complete access to the BIOS setup to see if the power is available to USB devices during the hibernate mode. Since I cannot get out of the hibernate mode with my USB keyboard or USB mouse, I have to turnoff the pc and then perform a re-start. HP is not the same as it was when I purchased desktops in the past.
