So disappointed
I had these fans put in every room of our house when we built and it was unfortunately a big mistake. The first round of fans we had would all flash every few minutes so they were all replaced with the same model. The new fans we received don’t flash, but I can’t use the remote to control the lights. After trying to just have the fan running and turning off the lights, the lights now will not come back on leaving two of our bedrooms dark. We’ve tried many different types of bulbs and nothing works. These fans seem to have a ton of issues.

Do not buy this fan. Faulty lights
Unfortunately I had FIVE of these fans professionally installed upstairs in my house. The lights, which are incredibly dim even at the brightest setting, blink on and off every few minutes. Having 5 fans blinking, all within sight of one another when doors are open, is not good. I had an electrician out to look at them, and he wasn't able to fix or find anything wrong with the electrical in our house. No other fan in our house blinks, only these hunter fans. Because these fans are in a predominantly kids space, we have lived with it for a couple of years. Now we are selling the house and having to replace this junk in order to put the house on the market. Nobody wants to buy a house with lights that constantly blink. Do not buy this fan unless you plan to keep the light off.

Disappointed
Purchased six sentinel fans. Chose Hunter over Hampton Bay. All fans have surging where the light kit literally goes off and then back on. This is happening with all fans. In a newer home with Arc Fault bedroom breakers figured the Arc Faults were probably the cause. This last week finally got around to removing the Arc Faults and installing regular HOM Sq D 15amp breakers. Did not solve the problem. This has turned out to be a fan issue. Now have to look at replacing all fans. Not happy and will not be purchasing Hunters moving forward.

Surpassed all expectations
I’m not sure what all the hype is with DC motors. This fan is so quiet that I wasnt even sure if I turned it off and it was winding down or if it was still running. The airflow is no joke either and the brightness of the light surpassed my expectations. Overall I’m very impressed. It’s much nicer than my other Hunter ceiling fans.

This is a follow-up to my 2* review of the Sentinel fan, in which I noted the fan was unacceptably noisy. Some articles I read indicated the hum would reduce in time but, while I would agree that it has, the hum remains too loud for me/us. However, Hunter fan customer service is incredible. First, I received a personal follow-up to my review within 48 hours of posting. Second, they posed reasonable and constructive questions to determine the problem. Third, they took action quickly to correct the issue. I have had Hunter fans for over two decades - I can't recommend the company enough. I can't recommend the Sentinel fan, but I do recommend Hunter.

great fan. Three blade fans move the most air. Replacing older fan can be a problem only if the junction box is too small to contain the new wireless module. Need longer screws to attach the bracket to the electrical junction box where the box is recessed into the ceiling. Screw slots, not holes would be nice on the electrical/mounting bracket cover. Three arms and hands would help.

Frustrating QA/QC - Light Constantly Flashes On/Of
I purchased two fans in December and had them professionally installed by an electrician. Although the remote is great and the fan is relatively quiet at its max speed, there are issues with this fan/fixture that I wish I’d read prior to purchase. The level of brightness is significantly lacking, I admire that they are LED, but it’s insufficient. The lights are constantly flashing ever 5 -10 minutes which I’ve recently discovered is a common issue experienced by other due to faulty receivers. Extremely frustrating to say the least as even if/when I receive the parts from Hunter, I will still have to pay an electrician to complete the re-install.

Noisy
I bought this fan to replace a Hunter fan that had run continuously in the master bedroom for fifteen years but had become noisy. The Sentinel was easy to install and looks great but the motor is loud. There is a distinct motor hum at all speeds and in both directions. It moves a lot of air and the remote control is nice but, overall, unacceptably loud.

Settings 1 and 2 do nothing to move air
Had this installed by a licensed electrician a few days ago and am extremely disappointed in this fan's performance. We could live with the slight humming noise if only this fan did what it's supposed to do - MOVE THE AIR! We didn't expect that it would need to be run on high just to feel some air movement in the room.

Very dim light
I love the look of the fan and it produces a good amount of wind. The lights are SO dim though. I almost couldn’t tell it was on. I’m assuming I can change out the lights though.

The lighting is pretty dim even with 75 watt led lights. The fan starts to make a noise when on the 3rd setting. There is no control to change light setting.

Great fan, less than average light
I like the fan. very quiet. I am less pleased with the light. it comes with two bulbs that do not distribute light evenly and they are underpowered. Would have been better to have a solid state LED built in that evenly lights and can be increased in light output

Junk
Bought this fan for the bedroom. It hardly moves any air even at the fastest speed. A complete waste of money. Also, he wiring diagram does not match the actual wiring.

Looks nice, but fan speed is SLOW
Just found out that this fan motor is on the lower end, so if you are looking for a fan to actually cool the room or circulate air, this one isn't going to be the best solution for you. I have this installed in a smaller room (11x13) and there is little to no speed difference between settings 1-3 on the remote.

Good for Scrap Metal! The Motors are Defective!
The motors in these ceiling fans do not work correctly. The fan does not spin! The light does not work! It is a totally useless product that wastes money. I am very frustrated and disappointed in Hunter Fan Co. They used to make quality products. I had 2 of these ceiling fans professionally installed. The first fan was purchased in Sept 2020. This fan’s motor did not work at all. Neither the fan or light would come on. Hunter sent me a replacement fan. The second fan would spin, but loud screeching noises came from the enclosed metal in the motor that was scraping against each other. This fan is good for nothing but scrap!
