This sand filter is meticulously designed to efficiently and consistently filter your pool while optimally conserving energy and complying with new DOE compliance and regulations. The filter is constructed to promote the cleanest water quality while providing a quick and simple user experience. Carefully molded, the pool filter tank which can hold up to 60 pounds of sand is double-reinforced to ensure a reliable, air-tight compartment for filtration action. Sand can withstand approximately 5 years of use before replacement depending on water chemistry and proper backwashing frequency. Pool filter sand is not included.
The pumps housed by this sand filter combo system run on low noise levels, creating a fantastic user experience. Components include a tank, pump, filter base, multi-port valve, 3-prong plug, power cord, and more. Works with Hydrotools products but also as plug-and-play replacements for other brand pool equipment.

Never received

Great!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was needing a new filter after my last one wasn’t keeping the water as clean as I would like, and this one is great! The water in my pool was getting cloudy a lot even with added chemicals. As soon as we installed the filter, it had cleared up after running it for a few hours. Does a great job and have had no problems with it. We were having trouble keeping the water clear but since installing this filter, the pool has been sparkling! The flow is really nice and it’s super quiet which is an added bonus. The only problem is you can’t run it for more than 8 hours at a time, which can be a problem since some chemicals need to be continuously run for longer than that. It does have a good size strainer basket as well. Comes with everything you need except you will need to buy the sand.

The Pool-tastic addition

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm so excited to share my experience with the HYDROTOOLS by Swimline 19" Sand Filter Combo w/ Stand, 4500 GPH, 175lb Capacity that I got for my pool. I have to say, I'm absolutely thrilled with it! The best part was that it was super easy to set up, but to be honest, I did have a little help from my husband. Since I started using it, my pool water has been crystal clear, and it's so quiet! The pump is really powerful, and I love how easy it is to use the multi-port valve. The sand filter is also perfect for my pool size, and I don't have to backwash it too often. Plus, the stand is really sturdy and doesn't wobble at all. I noticed that the water flow output is strong and circulate into the skimmer easily. I was also pleasantly surprised by the price, very reasonable. I would honestly recommend this sand filter system to anyone who wants a reliable and efficient system for their pool. I can say that our pool looks blue and clear and it’s impressive considering it has been randomly sprinkling lately.

Motor Stopped Working After 2 Months
Pump stopped working after two months. Motor kept having a humming noise. Reached out to the Spreetail company explaining the situation hoping to resolve the issue and the company refused to do anything about their item being defective because it was out of my 30 day return window.

Not good
First the pressure gauge never recorded above 15, so it was difficult to tell when to backwash. Now reopening, after 1 summer use and it seems like there is no easy way to prime the system with water—meaning there is no separate pump strainer basket with this type of pump so you can’t tell if water is flowing correctly into the system. Go with a different brand. Very hard to find YouTube videos for set up with swimline hydrotools sand filter.
