Cleaning your pool to give you clear, beautiful water, the Intex Krystal Clear Sand Filter Pump utilizes a simple and efficient sand filter to produce clearer than ever water. Sand filters keep your pool clean while saving on cost and time. The sand in the filter only requires a replacement once every 5 years, cutting the time you spend changing and cleaning pool filters while leaving your water clear and hygienic. Hydro Aeration Technology provides improved circulation and filtration for greater water clarity. Supporting the 4 functions, the filter allows filtration, circulation, backwash, and drain to support all aspects of the pool filter maintenance cycle. The built-in digital timer automatically turns the filter on and off each day, and the system can be run for up to 12 hours for a safe system. The package includes (2) 1.25-inch connector hoses and a 25-foot power cord with a Hydro Aeration Technology inlet fitting. Meeting UL and CSA standards, the pump lasts for years, enduring all your rigorous needs.     A much Better Sand filter Pump!

    So far this Sand filter pump has run great we have had no problems with it and I think it cleans the pool much better than the regular pump we had by Intex that wasn’t even lasting through the summer so right now we are really enjoying the sand filter pump thanks Intex for making such a great product

    This pump lasted 1 year and stopped working. Tried finding the pump and basically it seems I have to be forced to purchase the sand filter and chlorinater together. I somehow feel this is a setup.

    No rinse setting

    This filter does not have a rinse setting-this means that after a backwash, (with no option to rinse) sediment from the sand flows back into your pool. To avoid this, we have to remove the that returns the water back into the pool and let the sediment out- it works but it’s a big hassle. Another issue is the drain cap (to remove for a backwash) is made of a cheap material and actually cracked after less than 2 months of use. This filter also includes cheap, plastic hose clamps that will break. With these inconveniences, the filter runs well and my water has been clean. I would never again purchase a sand filter that does not offer a rinse setting. Next time, I will do more research before making a purchase.

    Tank for 10” sand filter pump

    The tank cracked when we set this pump up the first time! It is plastic and evidently the pressure is too much for the low quality material. I have an 18' x 48” pool and With this filter, I have to backwash twice a day. It is not sufficient for this size pool, unlike the description states. The back wash outlet sprays all over the ground by the pool because there is no hose to connect. Very disappointed with this filter!
