I was not gifted this. I bought the shampoo because I love the conditioner. It doesn't lather well. It didn't matter if I had product in my hair or not. After a few washes, I had greasy build up at the roots of my hair. I wash my hair daily. I even tried to really rinse my hair. It just felt heavy during washing. It did not work for me. Absolutely love the conditioner though. Conditioner is lightweight and leaves my hair soft and manageable.

I've used both in combination and my hair feels more damaged than ever. It doesnt feel clean, feels heavy, and oily. It makes it feel like straw, stiff, and frizzy.

Product leaves hair greasy and heavy feeling. No matter how well you wash the product off with water it still leaves residue. Hair is almost unmanageable when dry. Very confused by this shampoo and highly regrey buying.

I have a lot of other products from this brand that I love so thought I would try this. First wash I thought maybe I didn't wash everything. Second time made sure I did and then came and read the reviews. I mean my hair looks clean I guess? But feels so heavy, sticky and dirty. 10/10 do not recommend

I have never used this shampoo/conditioner before but had read it was very good. Well they were right! It is pricey however it has helped my damaged hair and I intend to color my hair until I die or am put in a situation where I am unable to do so (God forbid !)

I bought the shampoo and conditioner some what knowing about the brand. I started using it and fully rinsing out my hair, when out of the shower and my dries so dirty and greasy looking and feeling. I was so confused I was rinsing more and thinking I was doing something wrong. I tested out a different shampoo/conditioner combo and having my hair feel clean or I should say normal for having my hair washed that day. I personally did not like this shampoo/conditioner combo. I do have to say it did smell so good but I would not recommend this to someone.

My hair has been feeling lifeless lately so I decided to switch my shampoo up. I have read previously reviews about the Pay Day Shampoo and everything has been right on point. My hair not only feels healthier after a couple washes but it smells amazing too! I highly recommend this product!

Leaves your hair, feeling sticky and slimy like you didn't rinse out all the conditioner. But you rinse and rinse and rinse and it still feels sticky and slimy then when your hair dries feels like there's 100 pounds of hairspray in your hair.

I should have looked at the reviews. This set (both shampoo and conditioner) really is terrible. I color treat my hair and am used to spending money on quality products to maintain my color. This stuff not only left a weird film on my hair, but it also dulled my new color and made my hair feel dry. I’m not sure how it ever made it past quality control testing. I wouldn’t even spend $8 a bottle on this stuff. Don’t buy.

I ignored the bad reviews and decided to order this anyway as I had tried a sample and it was awesome. Well, the formula may have changed because this shampoo does leave a film on the scalp and hair roots. Because of this my hair felt oily again within hours of use. I really wanted to like it so I gave it another go. Again, it left my hair feeling heavy, and unmanageable. Very disappointed. I thought maybe the other reviews were being dramatic, but I had to see for myself. This may work on extremely dry or hair that won't stay down, but if you want volume, you will get the absolute opposite with this shampoo. I did try the conditioner with a different shampoo and it is fantastic. The conditioner works wonders. I also love IGK instant repair serum.

Ive had such good experiences with IGK but this shampoo and conditioner duo is NOT IT! It made my hair SOO greasy, stiff, frizzy and DULL no matter how much I rinsed out. My hair also started falling out when washing with the product and its never done that before. I'm so sadden about this because it obviously was not cheap, but yikes! It needs to be taken off shelfs.

This smelled so good and i was excited to try it. The day after my night wash, my hair was greasy/waxy. It looked like i hadn't washed my hair in days. I've used it 3 more time to make sure it wasnt just me or another hair product. It was definitely this shampoo and conditioner making mu hair disgusting.

Let me start by saying the smell of this is amazing! i really wanted to like it. it left the oddest feeling in my hair. my hair felt like it was stuck to my head and greasy. i thought maybe it was just a fluke thing so i tried it one more time and same thing.

It makes my hair feel truly awful, like it has a thick buildup. I thought it was the leave in conditioner so I stopped using that. And even with just the shampoo and conditioner my hair still feels like it's stiff and dirty after it dries.

I usually only wash my hair about 2-3x per week and this doesn’t clean my hair very well when it really needs it. However, when I’ve washed more frequently it does the trick without drying my hair out. If used with a clarifying shampoo every few washes, it’s a good product and leaves hair very shiny and soft. I also notice my natural waves are coming out more when air drying, a sure sign my hair is healthier. It also smells really good.

In reading the reviews I decided to still try! Generally speaking if I see a product with negative reviews it actually ends of being a great product for me. My hair is so finicky! I have over processed, fine, natually curly hair. With that said I only wash my hair twice a week and when I do wash my hair I use first a shampoo for hair growth as i have thyroid issues and lose hair. I used this product for the first time this past week and my hair looked and felt AMAZING!!! If you have overprocess hair give it a try!
