You can also open the capsule and take the contents directly into your mouth. The probiotic bacteria will not be affected by mixing the contents into a cool, non-acidic food or drink. However, you should not mix probiotics with heat or acidity, as this can damage the bacteria. This includes strongly acidic foods and drinks, such as citrus fruit juices and wine. I got these while on antibiotics instead of the name brand ones I used to use. I wanted to save a few bucks and they seemed to do the job as needed. They did not bother my stomach like some others tend to do when first starting and they seemed to help prevent issues that antibiotics can cause.

I take probiotics as part of my daily routine and have never experienced gas pains and constipation with any before taking these. My husband and I have both been having digestive problems since we started. He’s got nausea, painful gas and bloating and I have painful gas, bloating, and constipation. And that’s just after a few days! Don’t recommend. Spend the extra money and get a different brand.

Solved post-flu GI issues!
Similar to a previous reviews, I tried this out of desperation after catching a terrible couple flus in a row. My GI tract had been messed up for about 5 weeks with PI-IBS like symptoms. Within a few days, my system had calmed down, and my symptoms ceased. I've been on it a couple weeks now and feel "normal" again. This was also one of the only probiotics in the store under 40 bil. that didn't have bovine gelatin or skim milk in the ingredients. I've been following an online suggestion of taking the probiotic with breakfast and haven't experienced any gastro upset from it.

This probiotic literally saved me for c.diff. I had been on an antibiotic for a sinus infection, and something went terribly wrong and I was infected with cdiff. Taking this along with activia yogurt in the morning really helped fight it off and regulate my gut again!
