A: Yes, it does work on stove-tops and the time varies it could take from 10 to 15 minutes.

A: Thank you for your question. The stainless steel used in our stove top coffeemakers is considered as a Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) material under FDA standards”. It is a 300 series, not a 200 series.

This is advertised as "6 cups" It is NOT. It barley holds 1 regular sized coffee cup. It is cute. It seems to be made just ok. Taking it back.

I’m not really sure about the maker just yet. I haven’t used it but the inside of the carafe looks like aluminum and not stainless steel. Package says not to put in the dishwasher but if it’s stainless steel it world be able to go in the dishwasher.

It’s a good coffee maker. You have to make sure that each part is closed and fitted perfectly before brewing. Otherwise your coffee may leak through the gab between the coffee maker.

I bought this after my Nespresso broke for the 3rd time. I love this greca (Moka pot). It is a great affordable dupe for a Bialetti. I have none of the issues that the other reviews mention. Going to get one for my mother and mother-in-law.

I was reading the reviews and at first I thought that it was not a good idea to buy it, however I bought it and I do not understand the bad ratings because it worked perfectly without any of the normal problems that other people mentioned.

I’m not sure if the one I got is defective but it takes forever to start percolating (15 mins or so) and then another 10 to get enough coffee to make a cup of coffee. It never seems to steam all the water either since there is always some left in the water canister at the bottom.

the silicone oring didn't align the straining cap in place and fell out easily. Kind of makes it painful to make espresso. Usually they use a white gummy rubber style oring that really centers up the straining cap. stainless steel is good.

I got this to replace an aluminum Bialetti. The Bialetti makes a more robust cup of coffee but the health effects of aluminum leeching are not great for you. This will have to do for now.

Makes great coffee. Figuring put the right ground coffee size was my biggest question but quickly found that medium ground coffee is better for this specific item. It delivers rich, dark coffee- not necessarily an espresso but something close to that sort. It takes me about 8 minutes to have my coffee which may seem long to some but I think it is defiantly worth it. It's also easy to clean. It's saved me from stopping by coffee shops like I used to.
