A: Personnally I think those built-in frothers are over rated, and more trouble than they're worth. I just heat the milk separately and use a frothing wand. Best $2 investment ever.

A: If you're asking if this is one of those machines that will grind the coffee for you, then that's a definite no. I'd definitely recommend grinding fresh over buying preground stuff, so for that, yes you'll need a grinder.

A: No, it doesn't come with a tamper. But for what it's worth, most of the time, I don't tamp. Reaaly depends on the type of beans you use, as tamping does let you adjust flow rate. It's a bit of a controversy amongst espresso fans. Some swear by it, others claim it's unnecessary.

I bought this machine from Target two weeks ago and have barely started using it over the last couple days. Overall I like the ability to make Espresso, which it does. Mission accomplished. However, I have a concern..... There is a red light that turns on when you turn the dial to "espresso cup.". So I made some espresso yesterday. I got my espresso and enjoyed it. The red light indicator was off. This morning, I returned to make another espresso. Red light indicator was off. Glass carafe, espresso bucket, and machine all hot. Red light off, dial still set to espresso, machine never turned off. I believe this is a likely fire hazard. The machine works, but the safety may be an issue, so I am reluctant to give it any stars above 1. Although had I not observed that issue, if probably give it a 4 or 5 stars.

This is the best coffee machine ever. If you are on a budget this is the best option. I’ve been using this coffee machine for 1 year and I make my latte every day. I like the coffee I make at home more than the coffee shops. Really great machine I definitely recommend this coffee machine to coffee drinkers that are on a budget. Perfect for students, dorms, or anyone!! I am a student and this is great. I would definitely gift this to anyone needing a coffee machine!

I bought this item because it looks exactly like the Krupps we had for about 15 years. Don't be fooled. Everything about this has been cheapend. See the plastic fitting on the milk frother? It's threaded directly onto the end of the metal tube. Small plastic threads on a hot tube. What could go wrong? Two uses and by the third time the plastic piece kept blowing off into our cups leaving a large hole splattering milk everywhere. The Krupps had a threaded metal piece (we discarded there plastic end) that could be removed and cleaned periodically, but never blew off into our cups. I've emailed the company how to return this junk for a refund and if I can will update this review with their response.

At first I loved the product. After a few uses it started to let outgas stream at the end of the brew cycle. I cleaned the seals but problem persisted. Final 4 cup brew (using recommended grounds and water level) resulted in a loud bang and coffee grinds all over my kitchen.

For sure a good little espresso machine. It has worked very well if you know how to use it! Makes amazing cappuccinos, and espresso. The cappuccino is my favorite thing to make. The frother works very efficiently and though you have to change the settings, there is good consistency in the milk quality has foaming. Sometimes the cup amount is not so much consistent. Overall for the price, I have been very happy with this item. It is easy to clean too!

Lol it's $30 espresso machine. What did people expect? Commenters reviewing it as good, should step out of the cornfield every once in awhile. If you actually want to try your hand at espresso drinks.... Target sells Breville, it's entry level. Just save up a few extra bucks and not be the butt of jokes at family gatherings.

I have barely owned this machine for 2 years and it is completely broken. I had a previous machine very similar and it lasted almost 8 years. It still made espresso just was not heating good. This machine already has a pump issue or clogged like bc water will not make its way out. Very disappointed. Kinda glad it died tho. The features on this one were bad. The Mr Coffee one I had if you accidentally didn’t flip it back to off the machine would auto shut down this machine would stay heating and get very hot if you accidentally left it. It is also cheaply made, you can find solid little machines in the price point. I got to where I would unplug it after every use bc it just seemed like a cheap and possibly dangerous machine.

If you want the smell and taste of burned coffee this is your machine. There's no richness or depth to your espresso. It just looks and tastes like a bad cup of coffee. I based this purchase on the fact a customer that uses a great machine needed a temporary replacement and went with this. There's no way that person was happy with their choice.
