A: You can also warm it up in the microwave if you want it hotter and transfer it into your frother cup. I can get excellent microfoam with six oz but I take my time. You want to get a cyclone going.

A: You have to pull shots first then wait till the light turns green before turning on the steam wand. It has to build up pressure and by pulling shots first it heats the machine up faster.

A: This machine is for single shots only. Even though it supposedly can do double shots, the double shot portafilter only holds up to 10 grams rather than the mandatory 18-21 grams needed for a true double shot.

Q: We just purchased this machine. Is anyone else having trouble twisting the portafilter into the center position? Mine has stopped quite a bit shy of center, and that was after some degree of force. I'd need a wrench or a hammer to get it centered.

A: Manual machine not automatic. I can make sure its pulling one or two oz, single or double. Some automatics are over or under and no way to recalibrate it. I haven't found automatic frother yet?

I am really pleased with the Stilosa
I bought my DeLonghi Stilosa to make a good coffee whilst I work in my studio. It was a bit of a “luxury” buy (not in terms of the price point) as we have espresso makers at home already, but it is nice to have one at hand in the studio. I read some reviews before purchasing and The Stilosa has lived up to the reviews I read. I love the size of the machine, I find the milk frother easy to use despite some of the reviewers views , it makes a fantastic espresso and is fast! I would recommend this model to anyone who does not have a lot of money to spend or who just wants a good second espresso machine.

Love my new machine
This has replaced my Keurig. I love making a fresh iced coffee drink in the morning. I'm still trying to figure out when to "stop" the pull, but it's a learning experience. I'm excited to try new and different things with it, and for the price, it can't be beat!

Works perfect! Had mine for 5 years and use daily!
I have bought mine in 2021 and use almost daily! It works perfectly. It is so worth it. I just clean mine by adding vinegar to the water and let it run. I do that weekly which really helps maintain the machine. I like the coffee I make with this more than any coffee shop! Just takes some practice.

Good until it wasnt
I received this for my birthday in July 2025. I have taken care of it and used it consistently, cleaning in between uses. The ready indicator light was the first thing to go out, so I just have to assume it’s ready. It’s gets extremely hot when you leave it on too long. As I approached 9 months of use, it started leaking. When I brew the espresso the frother leaks water and when I use the frother the espresso starts dripping again. I’m looking for a better quality machine because this wasn’t able to keep up with being used 3-4 times per week.

Same one but silver. Bought and stopped working a few months later. The pressure just stops. It begins to just slowly drip out coffee. Not a good purchase at all! My last Cusinart espresso maker lasted years. Was told my target we could return. My husband went today and they said they don’t carry it anymore and would not allow him to return the product.

Not worth the low price point.
Not worth the low price point. Maybe defective? On its first use the machine made a lot of noise, got incredibly hot…and produced nothing but a melted plastic smell. I’ve owned other entry-level espresso machines and this one is definitely the worst. You have to watch the machine closely as it brews espresso because the dial must be turned off as soon as the desired amount of coffee is dispensed. It just keeps running until the dial is turned, which is incredibly inconvenient and a bit unsafe.

This is a must buy!!
I love this espresso machine! I have never made espresso and lattes at home before. This machine made what could be complicated and easy and fun at home process. I now longer even want lattes from coffee shops because this is so fun and makes amazing tasting espresso!
