Capresso Pump Espresso/Cappuccino Machine -Stainless Steel EC100 116.04

Was great while it lasted. maybe 6 months? Pretty disappointed I’ve never had one go out on me so quickly. Made a great espresso, you can not fit an average coffee mug with it. So u need espresso mugs or cappuccino mugs. Leaked some water from time to time. Will not buy again.

For a number of years I used the very basic Mr. Coffee steam espresso machine that costs about $35. After the second one reached the point of replacement, I decided it was time to step up to something a bit nicer. I first tried another Mr. Coffee product, but was very disappointed by the low temperature of the coffee. Decided to try this Capresso product due to the reviews and the price point. Overall, I am happy with this product. The coffee certainly does taste better than what I got from the steam espresso machine, and creates good crema. Coffee is delivered a bit hotter than the Mr. Coffee I had tried, and it’s also a bit quieter than that machine. However, I have experienced two issues. First, as often noted in reviews I’ve read elsewhere, the drip tray is poorly designed. The machine releases some water into the tray after every cycle. The problem is that after that initial surge of water, there is a secondary trickle of water which doesn’t get pushed into the tray, but rather, slowly flows into the space under the tray. So there is consistently water under the tray. I am rather surprised an otherwise solid machine was designed to work this way. Secondly, after operating the machine, you don’t get a nice, packed “puck” of coffee, but rather a “soupy” mess of grounds. Happens even with coarser ground espresso, so it’s not a result of using overly fine coffee. While not the biggest deal in the world, makes clean up potentially a little messier, and also speaks to the fact that while this machine was a solid step up from where I was coming from, it’s still on the more basic end of things as far as espresso machines go. Still, overall I am good with this purchase.

Wow....did not realize how good lattes could be. Coffee was creamy, milk thick and foamy. I am an intermediate user. I did as suggested and prepared the machine. I was shocked at how fast it was and how fast the milk got hot and rich. I just got this machine so I hope to have continued great results.

This is my first ever espresso machine and I love it. Easy to use and makes awesome espresso. I'm now addicted! I wish it came with espresso cups and something to steam the milk in, but I have found some other things to use. A regular mug doesnt fit under it. I found a couple ceramic souffle cups at the dollar store that work perfect.

I love this machine, very easy to use. Espresso is nice and creamy, and comes out fast. Milk frother works great as well. I previously had used the same sub $100 model of a different brand for about 10 years, and it worked well. It came time to replace it, and this Capresso model is a very nice upgrade! The whole process is much faster with this machine. I used it every day.

This machine makes excellent, creamy espresso and has a powerful milk frother/steamer. Have all your cups and milk ready, because it's FAST!

I was surprised to find out that this machine needs to be stopped manually to end brew. I have never seen this feature before and am not thrilled with it. Also, it did not come with a steaming cup for milk.

Easy to use., good price
