Q: There were some reviews about being "explode" i understand there were few responses on this topic. But wondering if you could explicitly provide instructions on things to avoid instead of saying guidelines, it would be immensely helpful
A: Hello, thank you for reaching out. This is Mr. Coffee here, and we appreciate your feedback! We understand that some users have come across alarming words like explode in a few product reviews, and we absolutely take those concerns seriously. Safety is always our top priority, and we are here to give you more explicit, easy-to-follow instructions to help you use your Mr. Coffee Steam Espresso Maker with Stainless Steel Frothing Pitcher confidently and safely. Here are some important things to avoid when using your espresso machine: 1. Never Remove the Cap While Brewing or Steaming The cap seals the water reservoir, and pressure builds up during operation. Removing the cap too soon can release steam forcefully which can be dangerous. Always wait until the pressure indicator shows it’s safe, and the unit has completely cooled down (typically 15–30 minutes after use) before removing the cap. 2. Do Not Overfill the Water Reservoir Overfilling creates excess pressure that can lead to leaks or unsafe operation. Use the included measuring carafe and fill only to the 4 cup MAX line. Never guess or eyeball it. 3. Don’t Block the Steam Nozzle or Frothing Arm Obstructing the steam flow can cause pressure buildup, leading to sudden spurts of hot steam or liquid. Always ensure the frothing arm is clean, clear, and pointed into a container before turning the steam knob. 4. Unplug the Machine When Not in Use This prevents accidental activation and allows the machine to cool safely. After use, allow the machine to cool down completely before cleaning or storing. 5. Clean Regularly and Carefully Always Read the Full Manual. If you have any more questions, please contact us using the Contact Us form on the website so we can help you further. We’re available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time. Thank you! Mr. Coffee Consumer Care
