A: Can I use oatmilk and other non dairy milk in the frother? Not a barista but some small coffee shops have regrettably informed me that their machines cannot make an oatmilk cappuccino. We sometimes make our own almond milk. Can we use non dairy milk with these machine?

Q: Can I make just a cup of hot water with this machine? Can I only make one cup at a time for beverages?

And we would always recommend utilizing the machine for its intended purpose to maximize its full potential. But there is definitely no harm in using this machine for making hot water. Q: can I wash the entire milk frother with water and soap or just the container?

You may rinse and wash all parts of the milk reservoir container and lid thoroughly with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry well. Do not use abrasive cleaners and scouring pads, as they will scratch the finish. The milk reservoir and lid is also dishwasher safe (top rack). Hope this information helps you. Have a great day!

Q: I bought this machine a few years ago (online i think) & I’ve moved a few times since & I lost the plastic piece that goes inside the frother, so my question is , WHERE can I get the little plastic piece ? Or can I buy a replacement somewhere ???

I love my machine. I figure out buying a good gravity distributor and a calibrated tamper does the job to give me consistent Expresso with crema. Cleaning is easy and better then the high cost machines which are more detail. I love the price, and won’t be upset if the machine dies cause I would hate to have that happen on an expensive one. The frother is hot and great. I enjoy it, nothing to dislike. Grind beans at 7 and 1/2 grind and buy good tools for it and you will be happy.

This one leaked from the getgo. I had one several years ago and it developed a leak after a year of use, so it's not like I didn't know what I was doing. I filled the tank, pushed the buttons to prime the machine. The portafilter would not go on straight, but stayed sideways, and when I reached to turn off the machine, there was water all over the counter, around and under the machine. It's a shame because I really need an easy-to-use espresso maker.

Water leaking out of the bottom of the Espresso or Cappuccino maker could be caused by the drip tray filling up. Check the drip tray and discard the liquid that accumulates after every use. Another possible cause is the reservoir being damaged or the hose being disconnected. Your Mr. Coffee® Café Barista has a 1-year limited warranty. This is a great starter espresso machine for anyone that has never owned one. I don’t like the milk frother as much as I thought I would though. It’s great that I can push a button and let the machine do all of the work while I’m chasing my toddler around. However, cleaning the milk frother using the clean option on the machine leaks hot water back into the milk canister so you can’t actually clean it and then store the leftover milk in the fridge. The tamper is also very awkward to use and is made of plastic.

I like the size of the water reservoir and it was easy to put in the espresso and tamp it down The frother can be a bit messy and it doesn’t froth oat milk as well as regular milk. It’s mostly made of hard plastic but still looks nice on the counter, but it’s still a starter machine. You can’t control the size or temperature as much as I’d like.

The machine is smaller than expected and doesn't take too much counter space. I read the directions before using it and primed the machine properly. Don't skip that step or you won't have the best tasting coffee. The priming didn't take long, and I was having my first latte in no time. This machine is easy for my family and guests to use without too much explanation. I couldn't be happier with my new machine. Highly recommended!

We've been using it to make lots of delicious holiday coffee drinks like peppermint and pumpkin lattes. It's an easy machine to clean and to use. It does take up a bit of room on the kitchen countertop but it's well worth it because of the convenience of being able to be my own barista. I have been grinding whole bean coffee to use with it and using oak milk with the steamer. I've had no issues with this machine and love how nice of quality it is.

This is an affordable way to have all of the various drinks and is very simple to use. I was surprised at how easy it was to have an expresso at home. I wish I would have gotten this sooner but always thought a machine at home would be so expensive and so much work. Boy was I wrong! I like how the milk container is removable and the remaining milk can be stored in the fridge.

If you haven’t used one like this, it can be a bit intimidating right out of the box. Don’t let that stop you! It couldn’t be easier to use once you read the directions and familiarize yourself with the buttons. The espresso it brews is on par with what you’d get at a coffee shop. Plus you can add another shot (or more!) so easily. The milk reservoir is removable so you can fill it and stick it in the fridge. This way you don’t have to keep refilling/cleaning it with every use. Even better - you can clean the frothing tube without disturbing the liquid in the milk reservoir. Everything actually cleans up well and I’ve been impressed with how nicely I can break down and clean it. I’m so happy with this machine, I even gave it a place on my counter! Originally we were putting it away after each use (which was getting more frequent and thus, inconvenient). Now we leave it on the counter so we can use it anytime!

I love a nice cup of espresso or cappuccino in the morning and this really delivers. My husband even says it is one of the best lattes he has ever had. I always thought Mr. Coffee was a cheap brand from past experiences but this has changed my mind for sure. It is nice and made with quality materials and really easy to use. The espresso loading handle is a little hard to turn at first but after a few times it gets easier to use. And it comes with another piece to adjust the amount of espresso I can use. The buttons are easy to navigate and makes the perfect sized cup per selection every time. The reservoirs for the water and the milk are decent sized and is enough to even host guests for a nice gathering. The whole machine is easy to keep clean and has not clogged at all. It sits nicely on my coffee bar and is aesthetically pleasing. I love the black and silver combination. I love everything about it and I get a lot of compliments from family and friends.
