We use hot temperature as it generally froths more easily and creates a richer, more stable foam due to the way proteins in the milk react to heat. I primarily got this coffee maker because it's able to both make espresso drinks as well as drip coffee. It works great and is easy to clean. The only reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is that it is sooooo hard to twist the portafilter. I have to hold on to the whole machine to turn the handle and it shouldn't be that hard. No fun.

Just meh I stayed on top of maintenance as needed got the needed usage its just not worth the price I wish I could get reimbursed for what I paid but its impossible that being said its great for a beginner that has a partner who just like it "simple" I got a ok watered down expresso while she got a decent pot of drip. the best part of this machine is how fast it heats if this was 100 bucks id give this 4 stars.

I bought this about a month ago, and I love it!! It has a gold filter on the coffee side, so no need to buy paper filters any more, and so easy to clean!! This mahine makes great coffee ANF great espresso, lattes, capuchinos!!

Broken After Three Uses
As someone who drinks a pot of coffee every morning and enjoys the occasional latte or cappuccino I really had high hopes for this machine, unfortunately the espresso side broke after three uses. I read reviews of this happening but went against my better judgment and purchased this machine thinking that wouldn’t happen to me- I was wrong. Fortunately, I was still within my return window and was able to get a full refund- I kept the receipt, and the box just in case anything did happen to my machine, and I’m glad I did!

Loving this coffee machine!
Coffee is fabulous, so many options! Easy to use, provides so many options and a basic coffee maker all in one. We are using it multiple times a day….brewing a full pot in the am and making decaf espresso in the afternoon. Highly recommend making this investment!!

Makes delicious espresso! Be aware it is not fully automatic so it does not shut off after you pull a shot. Also, the machine does not shut off automatically if you forget to turn off power. My machine was on for over 12 hours today because I forgot to turn it off!

Don’t do it
Got this as a gift 5 years ago. Have used the expresso once and the main coffee maker about 15 times. Now the machine won’t make anything Been back and forth with the company - no recourse Offered 20 % off a new machine. Why would I even want to buy another one ? Do not buy!!! Junk!
