Although it produces excellent coffee, this espresso machine is a touch louder than the one it replaced. Coffee pods or ground coffee can be put in it. It’s good to have that option, though I doubt I’ll ever use it for pods.

Although my evaluation is based on ten years of producing espresso at home and all the associated "barista growing pains," I truly enjoy this machine. This machine will be kind to you if you know how to prepare espresso correctly; else, you risk inadvertently breaking it. Although it has the right boiler and pump for the job, it has a lot of plastic in places where metal should be used, such as the group head.
Always provides excellent coffee.
